OK, the only way things are going to get done is if we go one song at a time....I've been trying to get "Smile at you" off, but this week, my vote goes to "Illume".....

Alex, I LOVE your use of the word "Strategery" every week. Genius, my friend.

My vote goes to "Goodbye Baby," but only because it makes me absolutely depressed when I listen to it.

Please don't vote off Illume! If you don't like the song itself, consider the brilliant rhythm work by John and Mick. Their playing is incredible, some of the best of their career... save the track for their sake!!! :)

........Even Stevie Nicks doesn't even think any of her songs are great on SAY YOU WILL, otherwise she'd be performing more of them live in concert to help sell more discs........

.......I love all of Nicks and Buckinghams songs on SAY YOU WILL, however........

I was thinking the same thing, because 11 is probably just about the average amount of tracks that most artists have on an album lately. We're so lucky that FM put so many more on SYW, becuase I really wouldn't be so fond of this version of the CD that we've voted for either!

I guess I have to pick "Illume," which makes me very sad. :distress: I love the song! I just like the others more.

edit: Wait wait--I have to change my vote. I was listening to the album last night--well, working and not REALLY listening. Then all of a sudden I heard Lindsey's voice calling to me from the end harmonies of "Illume." I had to stop and turn it up, and listen and listen again. I just love how the energy builds and builds toward the end... All of that is to say that I must change my vote. I don't know what I was thinking yesterday.

Now my vote goes to "Smile At You." The chorus just does not work with the verses. Its smoothness dillutes the anger of the verses' lyrics. And then there's the silly "I should've turned away and ran" grammar leap. Yes, it has to be "Smile at You" this time.
