Here are mine, from best to least best:) :

1) Wild Heart - as Tom said, an epic!

2) TISL - great pulse, great lyrics, great vocals

3) Bella Donna - definitely captures you; love the lyrics & the tone is magical

4) Enchanted - love Stevie's songs that mix guitar & piano so well; it's the song so nice she did it twice (the other time as Destiny)

5) Rock a Little - I feel like I'm in that beach house with her; a brave sound & vocal for a title track; wish I could rank this higher, but the other three are so great

6) Street Angel - I'd love for it to be darker or wilder; I think she was going for darker, but the production doesn't go as far as the vocal

7) Alice (I consider this the title song for TOSOTM.) - took time to grow on me, I think because of the keyboards that go up and down; I like when she calls out "Alice" late in the song

Your turn. Tell me I'm right or feel free to rearrange my choices - if you dare!!!

~Sharon~

I haven't heard the long version. Are you able to post the missing lyrics, or is there a website with them?

1. Bella Donna - Watch out world, Ms. Nicks is a solo artist!

2. TISL - Love it!!!!

3. Alice - "Some carry a stiletto in their garder along with everything else....that they carry" I love this song!

4. Wild Heart - I love her vocal and the harmonies, some of the lyrics could have been better.

5. Rock A Little - "Lots of them and all one of a kind" this line reminds me of "they take a limosine 'cause everything else is taken care of" ala Joan of Arc.

6. Enchanted - I love it I love it I love it, but it can't compare to the other true title tracks.

7. Street Angel - can't listen all the way through! dreadful

Honorable Mention - Say You Will (non solo, but I like it.) It desperately needs another verse, though!

Here are mine:

1. Bella Donna ~ This song IS Stevie; it has her "essence" in every word. I think it's just beautiful. I love when it starts to slow down and then BAM! it starts rocking all over again. Unbelieveable lyrics!

2. Trouble In Shangri-La ~ Lyrically, her best song since the eighties. The power and emotion in the words is phenomenal. I mean, it is an emotional epic, IMO. I also think it's one of her most personal songs. And it's a great song to sing along with!

3. Street Angel ~ I think it's the best track on SA. It certainly has the best lyrics on the album. I love the chorus and the final verse especially. "So I ended it all for the both of us/I fell down the stairs, a broken rag doll..." Gives me chillbumps.

4. Wild Heart ~ One of her best vocals EVER. The whole song just builds up to that ending. "WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILD HEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAART, BABY!!!!!!!!! BLAME IT ON MY...WILD HEART!!!!!!" Perfect opener.

5. Alice ~ I actually like it a lot, but then again, I am a HUGE Wonderland/Carroll fan. I think Stevie was really in her element with this song and it shows. Simply great. Except for the stiletto and garter line, that makes no sense whatsoever and it doesn't fit into the song.

6. Enchanted ~ Great song live, not so great when it's not. I love the song, but I just think it comes to life when it's live.

7. Rocka A Little ~ The chorus is great, but that's about it. The song just meanders about with no direction until it (finally) peters out. Very weak. I hate the backing vocals, too, they're very obnoxious. I do like the "Wild Ending" version, though.

1. TISL--- I consider the album to be some of Stevie's best work and the title track is no exception. I truly do love it.

2. Wild Heart--- Really strong song....beautiful lyrics...I love her voice and the backing vocals as well. It's a classic!!

3. Enchanted--- amazing song...the whole Wild Heart album is awesome and her choice to title her box set title "Enchanted" was a smart one. I love the song on the album and I love it even more live. Good stuff.

4. Rock A Little--- I really love Sharon's backing vocals in this song....the lyrics are good and I like the 80s vibe going on. If I ever were to meet Sharon, i'd be like, "your backing vocals on Rock A Little kick some serious ass." I really do like them. I can listen to this song over and over and sing them...lol. Stevie's raspy voice is pretty sweet on this song. I'm a fan of rocking a little

5. Bella Donna--- It's a beautiful title track and I do like it but if this had been the first song of Stevie's that I heard, I probably would have been like, ehh. It's not my favorite of her title tracks.

6. Street Angel--- Eh. Not my favorite title track. Then again, the album was not my favorite. It's like, okay. But not my favorite.

7. Alice--- Can I just say that i've um..actually never heard it. I know, shame on me. I usually skip around a lot on my CDs and well, i don't know that i've actually ever listened to the full thing. It may or may not be good but since i'm too lazy to get up and move and give it a listen, it's going to go at the bottom of my list simply for the fact that I've never heard it. LOL

Bella Donna- "sorta captures your soul"...certainly does. I identify with the struggling theme of this song, it's gotten me through many hard times.

Enchanted- I used to do aerobics to TWH and this was my favorite song to "step" to!!! It's such a fun, bouncy song, I really like the lyrics too.

Wild Heart- This album is just killer. I love the crazu urgency of this song, "fire on fire rain on my face/ fever grows higher what can you do?" Plus Stevie just nails the ending ferociously, it sounds like she's having a pawlsy or something.

Rock a Little- I LOOOOOOOOVE Stevie's raspy voice on this one. She sounds exhausted and world-weary-- I'm a sucker for singer/songwriters who sound like they're suffering for their art.

TISL- This song is greatness, especially the chorus.

Street Angel- I like the bleakness of this song and especially David Crosby's back-up vocal-- he lends a nice harmony to it. I have to be in the mood for this song though and most of the time I'm not.

Alice- I like this song okay, nothing really jumps out at me though. I think it's because I don't connect with this album like I do with the others.

Here's mine:

Enchanted: awesomely energetic song. I love the ending where she just belts out "OOOOOOOOOOOOOH, I hope you make it." One of her best songs to sing along to.

Trouble in Shangri-La: These next three are hard to decide, but since they are all openers, I put them in order of how I like them in that position. I feel Trouble in Shangri-La really gives the best vibe toward how the rest of the album will sound. I love the lyrics and the "groove" to the song.

Wild Heart: Again, a great opener and sight into the rest of the album. And of course, the end is great...but it's just a LITTLE too long for an opening song.

Bella Donna: Love the song, but really don't like it opening the album. I think SDMHA should have opened it, then BD.

Alice: Sounds much better live...it's a bit choppy on the album. But I love the Alice connection and the drug connection. If I'm not mistaken dissention, that's what the whole verse "each had their own charm...a stiletto in their garter along with everything else..." is about. Seems like it to me anyway.

Street Angel: Still I like the song, but it's not Stevie's sound or style to me. I don't feel the melody is very strong either, but it did somehow grow on me.

Rock a Little: I don't think I'll EVER be able to like this song. It's broken, noisy, and Stevie's voice does not appeal to me on it.

I just think it's a rather silly line; I don't think it fits in well, it just makes you laugh. :) It makes me laugh, anyways. But I love the song as a whole. :D

I enjoy Enchanted the most, followed by Trouble in Shangri-La.

Then Wild Heart, Bella Donna, Rock-A-Little (I have some demos of this one I like) and finally Alice and Street Angel.

Wild Heart~This was the first Stevie album I bought and this song reminds me of the summer of 1984.

Bella Donna~I love her lyrics and the Bella Donna album was one I bought but did not play often until recently.

TISL~Awesome song, I love those chanting lyrics....

Rock A Little~Pale Pink Satin Worn Out In A Week....I saw her in concert for the first time on this tour and RAL was never far from my turntable

Alice~Had a very fairytale quality to it. I fell so in love with this album.

Street Angel~Of all her title tracks, this is the one that I am not impressed with as I find it very weak and boring.
