I dunno....Say You Will reminds me of that 'classic Mac sound'...so I'm kinda partial to it.
Smile At You is beginning to bore me to tears, so I will vote that one off next.

WHY the Hell we're allowing Illume to stay is beyond me. It is NOISE.
My vote is against Illume YET AGAIN- because it blows.
(And for those of you keeping score, I think the SYW version of Smile at You is much better than the demo. There, I said it.)

I hope "Smile at You" stays around for a little longer simply because I love the demo so much and this version isn't SO bad. Stevie's vocals are pretty good, and it still has the lyrics we all loved--well, most of them. There's that nasty little grammatical problem in the chorus that really bugs me, but I feel much more forgiving of Stevie than Lindsey today for some reason. lol
All that aside, my vote goes to "What's the World Coming To?" I agree that it makes Lindsey sound like an old geezer. It sounds thin to me, especially live, and it's just boring!

SAY YOU WILL, SAY YOU WILL you've had your chance...now you must get off the album. Why do I not like it? Well, I did but it reminds me of work because they play it there all the time. And work makes me want to dig my eyeballs out with a rusty spoon. The lyrics are far too repetitive. There you have it. I think at the next concert I'll hold up a sign that reads PLAY SOMETHING ELSE. :laugh:

Other than the dah dah dahs at the end, this song is fluff that isn't even catchy. I might like it better were it not taking the place of any one of the many good Lindsey songs that could be done in concert.
(And BTW, I am far more tired of Peacekeeper than of SYW, which I have yet to hear on the radio down here.)

This is starting to look like a Stevie solo record. Too bad about Murrow. I dug it.
Again - Say You Will is the weak, lame link. Too many repeats of the chorus, and way too languid. I think it is a lazy sounding song. And those kids singing gives me the creeps.

Cliffdweller?....it's just a filler line I think. I understand what it means, but it doesn't fit in the song.
I would not trade you for Jade?....Is Jade as important to Stevie as human lives? No, of course not, it's just a lousy lyric.

The lines "I will not take you for granted/I wouldn't trade you for jade/Not for diamonds/Not for anything/Not for a minute" are among the most beautiful and haunting lyrics Stevie has written, IMO. I think they are greatness. :) And I love the cliff dweller line, also. :D
