When Stevie is doing the ballet stuff (cultured, ain't I?;) ) with her arms up, and the guy is behind her and a woman is behind him, and their moves are all synchronized, is that Carolyn, Lori, or just a dancer? My copy is not that clear, so I can't tell. I am guessing it's Carolyn, as that would be consistent with the rest of the video.

I think it's Carolyn...i'll have to go take a look again. And yes, you're incredible knowledge in "ballet stuff" is truly remarkable ;) I'll be back in a bit...I'll be sure to check out the video and report findings!

For a few months when I lived in Chicago I dated a dancer who was trying to get me to take ballet with her. She would always tell me I had great arms for "the ballet" and she'd try to pose me with my arms up above my head. It always made me laugh, though that wasn't her intention. (Understand that I'm at least three steps short of being able to perform a two-step with any grace, let alone a friggin' ballet.)
But I do love Stevie in the ballet studio on the Tusk documentary. She can pose me any which way.

As long as we're skipping down this ballet tangent, two comments:
Remember the Street Angel interview where Stevie claimed she could still do full frontal splits? I wanted proof!
Also, you know the 25 years Mick coffeee table book. It has a pic of Stevie smiling while doing a split. I think she looks cute, but women friends who have seen it have commented that her stomach looks distended and gross. (Need I point out that her back is arched! Naturally her stomach is going to curve! I'm a guy and I understand that, for crying out loud!)
Well, those are my ballet riffs.

Actually, the "other woman" in the video for "If Anyone Falls," is Lori.
Carolyn Brooks is a short blond, who's only seen a couple times during the video... singing alongside Sharon & Lori, and on the carousel horses with the girls and Stevie.
And playing the big cathedral organ, is Sandy Stewart. :)

I had heard Sandy was in the video but had since forgotten. In the lighting it looks like the woman at the organ and the woman singing back-up could be the same.
So Lori's doing the ballet stuff as well as the waltzing.
I know she's not large, but in the ballet shots she's Stevie's size. I thought there was a bit more of a gap.
How tall are Lori and Sharon, anyway?

The "I Can't Wait" collection tape has six solo videos, but I believe it's out of print.
I bought a Mac video compilation tape on ebay last year. It includes those six videos and many others.
If Anyone Falls is an excellent video! Very Stevie-sensual.

you work for Yale, how cool is that?!! I work for a very small company in a very small town in the West Midlands area of the UK. We only have broadband due to us being a training provider and one of the facilities we are obliged to have for our learners is permanent internet access.....fab!

Ahhh it's OK to work here...the job is boring as hell, but at least I can say in a snobby voice, "Oh yes, I worked at Yale..." I work on editing and maintaining the catalog databases...fun fun. I did not go to college to do this, you don't even need a degree to do this...but it's a job and I need money so here I stay...for now.
