aaaahhhhhAAAAHHHHH! Why is "Smile At You" still here?!!! This is the only weak spot in Lindsey's production! THE DEMO WAS PERFECTION.....NOW THIS HAS MADE REJECTION!

Smile At You

Everytime I hear this song I cringe when I think how it could have been! Shame on you Lindsey and Stevie :distress:

Maaan I can't believe you guys voted off Come. I'm voting off Say You Will. I liked it at first but now...it's getting on my nerves. The chorus goes on FOREVER and quite honestly, I don't like the radio edit either.

Say You Will .... you are the weakest song... Goodbye!

Hawkeye

08-10-2003, 07:25 PM

SAY YOU WILL I guess. Just to save Smile at You and Running Through the Garden.

I can't believe Come is gone! :( That's so sad!

I'm going to vote for Murrow again... I really can't stand it. Never could.

Come on, people, there are worse songs on this album than Say You Will!

Once again, Running through the Garden must go.

Cammie

08-10-2003, 08:41 PM

Definitely Murrow...for the lyrics...tooo complicated!

Also I would take off:
Running Thru The Garden... for sad lyrics...I heard
it is a story of a father poisioning his daughter?

Illume! That's the music that I burn!

Smile at You--sorry Stevie! The chorus is okay (sorry, never heard the demo), but it just drags on and on, and Lindsey's guitar doesn't help.

"Murrow...." enough with the edginess, already!!!

For those of you voting off either "Smile at You" or "Running Through the Garden".....

SHAME ON YOU!!!!

Two great, great songs......

Throw "Thrown Down" outta here. Throw it through a barracade. Maybe now you could prove to me, that you can't be as annoying. That a better vocal exists out there. That you and "Silver Girl" should be together.

My vote goes to "Thrown Down." :D

I love the chorus in Murrow, but not the garbled verses or the guitar in the second half. Plus, if this is not a solo song, Stevie should be doing some vocals, IMO.
Murrow gets my vote this time (though WTWCT, DR, and SG are tempting).

I've been saying all along that Lindsey destroyed a classic FM song when he got his mitts on "Smile", but at least it still has some of Stevie best lyrics ever. "Murrow" is just muck...

Bye bye Murrow!

I'll go with "SAY YOU WILL"...I've got to do my part to save Smile at You...which I LOVE (even though I love the demo more:)

Peacekeeper-- still can't get past that annoying little caw in the background during the chorus. I like the rest of the song though.

once again...

"Running Through The Garden", must keep running right off the list.

ILLUME because it BLOWS.

At least SYW and Smile at You are tolerable. Illume is just like noise. Blahhhhhhhh.

Well, if there is one good thing to be said about Murrow, Lindsey overproduced it to the point where he could not play it live, thus sparing audiences from another 7-minute guitar solo! Murrow would be spinning in his grave and plugging his ears!

Murrow!

Nightbird_Brett

08-11-2003, 03:49 PM

Well, I would vote for "Miranda" since it's the only one left that I skip. However, since we are playing Survivor, I'm going to be strategic and vote off "Murrow" (even though I love it) to keep "Say You Will" in the running. I cannot get over how many of you guys are voting off "Say You Will"!!

Murrow

Anybody notice how Lindsey's songs seem to be the first ones to go? Good thing he never put out the solo album, it would have bombed! (ducking my head now....)

As of right now it's:

Murrow- 14
SYW- 9
Smile at You- 5

So it looks like Murrow's in trouble:distress: But it could still be SYW if some of you vote it off. So if you really like Murrow and are undecided vote for Say You Will. But the good news is, it appears Smile at You is safe.
