Come, I skip this one all the time. I know I'm going to be hung for this one. I don't like all the screaming he does in this, it just grates my nerves. I dislike it more than Silver Girl, at least I can get through Silver Girl.

My vote goes for "Come". This song (if you can call it that) is horrendous.
I cant wait for Christine's solo record. I'll take the best songs off that, get rid of all the things Lindsey did to SYW that made it the worst Mac album ever, then splice it all together to make the perfect Mac album.
Yea! for me.
If its true that the band want to still make new records, they had better wake up and give the people what they want. For a Mac record to be hovering around the 667,000 mark months after its release is pathetic. They made a Lindsey record and put Fleetwood Mac on the title. You can fool some people this way (which explains the huge opening week) but not everyone. Too bad Christine wasn't there to reign him in.

I love the song, but since it was on the Dance, it never should have been included on the first place (and I, too, like the Dance version better).

My vote:
Running Through The Garden
Should've been on a Stevie solo album...it's NOT a "Fleetwood Mac" type song...TISL is where it should've been.
Remember, folks, had it not been for "Bleed To Love Her", The Dance wouldn't have happened...and it was never INTENDED "exclusively" FOR The Dance...it is right where it belongs.
Red Rover...
sorry guys, just not my fave!

I'll totally go out on a limb and have tomatoes thrown at me here. My vote goes to "Miranda." I always skip it and "Silver Girl." Those are the only two I skip on the album.

I vote for Illume, an odd one, maybe it's LB overproducing the Mac sound again given it sounded fine on the VBO album documentary clip. It doesn't flow very well IMO.
No doubt I'll be alone in my choice here given the subject content of the song being such a powerful one, which has nothing to do with my reason for voting for it at all, I just don't like it.
As for Come being chosen earlier in the thread, I love the song more than any other on the album but I have to agree it's nowhere near the best song for this album.....
Why?
Well, personally I think, like Murrow, it's a genius piece by Lindsey and it belongs on a Buckingham solo album, it's not bland enough IMO for a modern day Fleetwood Mac album.
Unfortunately this seems to be the only way Lindsey could get these songs out to us. Let's hope he gets enough good exposure for Warners to give the remaining Gift Of Screws work a release.

Not hard at all...
Get rid of "Bleed to Love Her." It didn't belong on the album, it's old hat, I'm sick to death of it, and it was a waste of space when we could've gotten a new song. God forbid if instead of BTLH, they did a studio version of Sweet Girl and plopped it on the album...
And I have to agree that many of these songs are Stevie solo songs, but all of Lindsey's songs are solo songs. They aren't Mac-ish songs, they're solo-ish songs.

Oh great, I'm going to hear this every time I listen to the song from now on! That's ok I guess, being that I usually skip the track anyways.
I have a feeling that Red Rum err Rover and Bleed To Love Her are going to be the ones with most votes against them.

I had no idea so many people so disliked Red Rover! It's my favorite Lindsey song, although I admit I had to warm up to it.

Because it's going to win, I'm going with Bleed to Love Her. (the endless noodling at the end gets on my nerves.. its just too long.)
Hopefully next Come or Illume will go.
I like Red Rover now- I hated it before. It really does take warming up to, but I love it now. I hope it stays! :distress:

Well said Sarah.
Yes ChilliD sorry to disappoint. You put a fair argument up for BLTH, but I just can't see what makes Lindsey unhappy with the Dance verison; especially when, as it is, IMO, the studio version is not necessarily better (and arguably not as good).
Furthermore he obviously has this real love affair with the song, but yet take You Do Or You Don't, which shares the same bridge lyrics ... I've always rated that song way above BTLH. It's Lindsey's little pet project, and it had it's time. That's a whole other 'song space' that could have been used for god knows what other GOS delight.

I have to vote for Bleed to Love Her, too--I just loved the version on The Dance, and LB didn't exactly do anything to improve it on SYW. I actually think the added studio touches on it ruins it, and his vocals on the bridge of The Dance version are so much stronger than on the SYW version....

BTLH.
I totally agree that the Dance version is better- nothing was improved. And yes, Lindsey's vocals on the bridge on the Dance version are much better than on SYW- he sounds so whiny on that one.
How could anyone vote off Miranda? I just LOVE that song. It reminds me of older FM stuff- I could just picture Stevie and Lindsey doing that song on the Mirage video! Oh well, to each their own :)

Yeah, I immediately thought of "The Shining" too when I heard Red Rover...
Red Rover goes...sorry y'all!!
Bleed to Love Her may be old hat, but still IMO a pleasant song...Miranda I ASBOLUTELY love and I think it's the best song from Lindsey on this album...not just for it's sound, but for it's lyrics as well....I especially like the lyric..."Miranda is dying with all of her might"...Murrow is alright, but after a while the "chorus" just gets on my nerves....lyrically however it's brilliant (you'll come to find i'm big on lyrics!!)...
Anywho, before I start to ramble here...my vote stands at Red Rover:cool:

I wouldn't have cared about repetition if there was an improvement in "Bleed To Love Her" from the version on The Dance. But while that one is extremely beautiful, this one is even repetitive. I think it's far inferior to the one in The Dance.
So "Bleed To Love Her", out.

BTLH only because it seems like either Red Rover or Bleed to love Her is going. So I guess I would have to say BTLH because it is on the dance cd. I do like the studio version better though because Stevie's backing vocals are more evident. I really love RR so why does everyone hate this song? It makes me feel like I'm part of an alien invasion.

Well..."Silver Girl" was easy. I really love all the other songs on the album, and don't think I could part with any of them, not even "Red Rover."
But, if I have to pick, I guess I'll have to go with that one.
