Throughout the years, Stevie has worn many different shoes.

White Album - in a video I have, she is wearing platform sandals (its kind of hard to tell) and bell bottom jeans. Later in this tour, she get the Rhiannon garb with perhaps red platform boots a la the 76 Midnight Special video.

Rumors - more Rhiannon red and perhaps black boots.

Tusk - long off white or pink dresses and cream colored platform boots.

Bella Donna - can you say off white satin leg warmers!!!!!! over white platform boots. High heel shoes in SDMHA video.

Mirage - light colored platform boots a la Bella Donna.

Wild Heart - I did not see this concert. But, she wore high heel shoes in the videos.

Rock a Little - she wore sort of cowboy boots in the era and I think she is in regular high heel shoes in the Red Rocks video

TITN - black platform boots in the video - and I LOVE the opera length gloves!!!!!

TOSOTM - Platform Boots

Timespace - I did not see this tour.

BTM - platform boots and very short skirts on stage.

Street Angel - platform boots black

The Boston and Florida charity "comeback" concerts - I did not see them.

The Dance - Camel colored platform boots

Enchanted - She changed boots in the shows didn't she?

Y2K concerts - platform boots, then she broke her toe and started wearing the infamous Reeboks!

TISL - Reeboks

SYW - started with the black platform boots but now wears the Reeboks and occasionally the black platform boots make an appearance. Note: in Dallas, the heel looked much lower when she wore them for a little while.

This is based on my memory. Does anyone know any different? If so, please post.

I did notice at Anaheim, she had her boots on to start with. During "Come", she went off-stage and put her Reebok platforms on. She wore them for the duration but during the encores, came back out in the boots again.

While I noticed the same change at LA, I cant confirm wether or not she changed back into her boots again.

I saw and met her at a private show in 2000, Im wondering now what she wore then. I think Reeboks but Ill double check via my photos.

Great thread idea!

Its a chiffonhead thread!!!!!!!!!!! I am sure many will question why we are again discussing La Nicks and her shoes. In answer to them I quote Maryilyn Monroe - "I often find the best answer to most questions is 'What the Hell'"

Shoes are wonderful! I own many pairs so I would love to read any and all discussions about Stevie's shoes!

Maybe I can get some of those Stevie Reeboks?

Well, my fave brand of tennis shoe is Adidas!! I'd KILL to see a pic of Lindsey wearing Adidas back in the day!! LOL Wonder if he ever did?

As for those Reeboks....BLECK!!! LOL I mean, if they feel better on her feet, fine, but they are ugly as homemade soap and with her grandness, shouldn't she have gotten someone to make her some nice looking Platform tennis shoes?! EGADS!!

I'm not at home in this thread. I hardly notice shoes. Gldstwmn had to point out the reeblechs and boots in Dallas, and I doubt I noticed them in Philly. (Then again, I was in the last row.) Stevie could wear Chuck Taylors with knee-high nylons or Doc Martens with pom-pom socks and I still might not notice.
I follow Gilda Radner's mantra: I base my fashion sense on what doesn't itch.

Oh, we know why you didn't notice shoes...you were too busy noticing other areas in between squints to see anything below the knee  Yea, I was way too into the show to notice what anyone was wearing although I did notice that Lindsey was unfortunately clothed ;)

Personally, I want to see her in whatever is comfortable for her and I think her reeboks are cute. The woman is gorgeous and looks super sexy in whatever she wears so she's able to rock the platforms AND the reeblechs (LOL...i dunno whether it was you or gldstwmn that came up with that but I like it). I love shoes. I have lots of shoes. Too many. If you met me at the DC show, chances are I was limping in pain at the end of the concert. I decided to wear some strappy high numbers in order to make myself a bit taller to see over heads in front of me. We walked the two blocks to the venue and duh me, I forgot I had to walk back too. After jamming for the entire concert and not sitting down, I can tell you my dogs were barking. I can't imagine being on stage and having to twirl, kick, spin, etc. in those things. Sure, now it'd be cool but give me 30 some years of doing it and I'd be like, eh, yea, not so much anymore..lol. I do really like the shoes she was wearing in the making of video that she wears with those black leather pants which I LOVE. Stevie, you rock!

Strand, we're "chiffonheads" AND "shippers?!?" If that ain't a deadly combo, I dunno what is ;)

Sorry, can't take credit for that one!:) Stevie wore the boots for the whole show I think in Columbus and wore the boots part of the time for the end of the show in Dallas. She must be wearing her custom made 'Boks now because they didn't look like anything I had seen in the stores. They look...orthopedic.

I have to say the Reeboks look like a black version of those not sop sassy orthopaedic shoes nurse's used to wear and perhaps still do. Perhaps we can get La Nick's one of those silly hat thingees nurse's used to wear to complete the look!!!!

In many ways, I think if the boots hurt, she should try those sexy RAL Red Rocks video boots and/or shoes!!!!

Hmmm...ya know, there's always the Big Love KEDS  I guess after the Hold Me video, she was tired of being on the sand in platforms

She wore KEDS in that video?!!!! I never noticed! Damn, i'll have to hook up the vcr and look for that. Sheebus. Is there a picture floating around anywhere?

Holy Keds. I can't believe it.

I can still see her owning a pair of pink, fluffy, bunny slippers that squeak when she walks. I can see her pups chasing them around. *squeak* *squeak* *squeak*

I was at the Dallas, Texas show, whenever that was, and she was in it. I remember I was like WOW, she looks like she has dropped some weight since TOSOTM tour. It was very mini as I recall. I have the tour book somewhere, but I so not think the mini is not in it.

Not to turn this thread into a discussion of Stevie's weight (how many times has that topic been beaten to death?), but I've noticed in photos from that era, that Stevie started the 'BTM' tour looking pretty darn slim.
By the time the tour reached Pittsburgh in November, where I saw them, she was more voluptuous.

But it's amazing when you look at photos from that tour, how different she looks from the first months compared to the final months.

I agree Johnny and noticed the same thing on the TISL tour. I think that when you are 5'1" five pounds can make a difference. Thank goodness I am 6'4" whenever I make love to a bucket of fried chicken

Hmmm....I don't know about those brown boots, they don't really go with the rest of the ensemble, but who's to question the fashion sense of Stevie Nicks? She looks fabulous in whatever she wears, well, maybe except that floral dress where she looks like a soccer mom, LOL!!!

WednesdaysChild

Yeah, you don't wear brown boots with black clothing! LOL

I kinda like her in that flowered dress--a nice change from the black stage outfits AND it's nice to see her in "real" clothes!!!

Lydia S
07-21-2003, 10:35 PM
I didn't really mind the floral dress either.Don't get me wrong, I'm GLAD she doesn't wear it onstage, but it is kind of nice to see her in a somewhat "normal" outfit.

You know, seeing these pictures of her in the shorter dresses makes me wonder why she stopped wearing them in the first place, she looked great!! It's not that she doesn't look great now, but I honestly *might* stop bitching about the lack of color if she would maybe alter the cut, or length of the current dresses!. There isn't anything wrong about showing a little leg every now and then, Stevie!! :D

I can't recall if the comment was made in this thread or another about Stevie's clothes, but someone said "I think Stevie should plunk her boots down on the stage next to her and say, 'You want boots, you got boots!'" I LOVE IT!!!
I feel that we~her true, true fans~ are the only ones who even care what she has on her feet and that we should also be the ones who love and support her even if she came out and sang in a Hanes t-shirt and blue jeans! Yes, I LOVE the boots as much as the next person, but in the end thay are just shoes. Being a "cliff-dweller from the old school", Stevie probably thinks the Reeboks are cool anyway...check out the white pair she's rockin' when she arrives at Red Rocks in the DVD! They do not look oprthopedic, they're just a harmless, 80's flashback! We want her comfy so her hip can stay as healthy as possible and she can sing and dance and stay on the road with us as long as possible!:)

Thank you! I said that. :wavey:

Seriously, I think the "normal" clothes flatter her just as much as the black dresses with the shawls and dusters. She could wear a potato sack on stage and I would still go to see her. Seeing Stevie Nicks is not about the theatrics, like a Cher show. You there to hear the singer and the songs.

TOSOTM - Platform Boots

If you look close at the Rock a little video (best seen at the end of Edge of seventeen) you can see Stevie is wearing platform ankle length boots with some dark opaque tights. I do this sometimes myself cause I have trouble getting tight leg boots to fit right cause I'm short (5' 1") and can't afford custom mades like Stevie

On the OSOTM tour didn't Stevie break/injure her ankle and have to wear the infamous platform Reeboks then? I'm sure there's a pic of her and the tour band in the programme where she sitting on a stool and you can see them very clearly...need to go and check! :D

I am totally shoe obsessed, I have way too many pairs myself. I loved those brown granny boots she had on in the nicksfix pics in this link, but yeah, she shouldn't really wear brown with black...yuk!

Love and happiness from Sarah

I saw those too! As Bart would say "AyeCarummba!" Look at the bidding times, jumped $1700 last few minutes. A real Sniping War! hehe She should get a bunch of boots, wear them around the house for a few minutes , then put them on ebay. Let's see 10 pairs o'boots X 2025 = $20,250 - cost of boots ......If she went to payless where her 3rd pair is free.......That would almost make as much as Mick did off the Fan Club! LOL
