Hi all~
I keep seing an import DVD at Best Buy: "Bob Dylan--Live In Australia" and the cover photo of him looks '86-ish. Has anyone watched this? I am wondering if any of Stevie's appearances that she made with him there are incuded.
Thanks!

No, she's not in it.

I have that and another one from the '86 Australian tour with him and Tom Petty, but no Stevie. The one with Tom Petty aired on HBO. :)

Here's some interesting info from the Dylan fans about Stevie's month spent with Dylan & Petty in Australia in 1986.

1. There's a recording of a hotel bar jam February 6 at the Park Royal Hotel in Wellington, New Zealand, with Dylan, Petty, Stevie, a backup singer & Benmont Tench. They sang "Trying to Get to You" a few times & Jerome Kern's "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man" & "Blue Moon" & "Sincerely" & a bunch of other stuff.

2. There's a recording of some of the "Band of the Hand" recording sessions February 9 & 10 at the Festival Studios in Sydney. Stevie is backing vocally, but she was left out of the movie (although some Dylan fans seem to think she is actually on the "Band of the Hand" single).

3. There's a recording of Stevie playing guitar & singing on "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" & "Blowin' in the Wind" & some other tunes February 11 at the Entertainment Centre in Sydney. There's also video footage, which some of you guys probably have. Stevie probably did two shows in Sydney because the authorities would have come down on her for doing a second night.

The entourage arrived in Auckland International Airport on Monday February 3. They took a connecting flight to Wellington that afternoon. The press saw Stevie in Auckland & reported that she & Petty were "more than just good friends." Stevie hid beneath a scarf & sunglasses at the airport & slipped through without causing much of a commotion.

It was in Australia that Stevie met & worked a little with Elisecia Wright (who was singing backup for Dylan), & probably invited her to join the "Rock a Little" tour later that year.

In other news, on Roy Orbison's official Web site, they have posted this about Howie Epstein's memorial on March 19, 2003:

Roy Kelton and Barbara joined Tom Petty and the rest of the Heartbreakers, Carlene Carter, Stevie Nicks and others to say goodbye to Howie. It was a very bitter sweet night. "We needed to find peace within ourselves to justify the sudden loss of Howie," said Barbara. He was remembered by Jamie Epstein, Carlene, Stevie and close personal friends. "We all agreed that there was not a sweeter more talented, funny guy than Howie. It was wonderful for Roy Kelton and I to have reconnected with part of the gang that was so close to us during the making of Mystery Girl--Jim Keltner (drummer), Don Smith (engineer), Debbie Gold (coordinator), Benmont Tench (keyboards) and Mike Campbell. Howie sang and played on Mystery Girl and was with us in the studio at all times. He was an intricate part of making the album." Barbara would like to thank Tony Dimitriades and Mary Klauser for making this night possible.
