Pretty much all of "Say Goodbye" is up there because of all the srana associated with it and the "love [they] couldn't hold" :eek:

I love all of Murrow, but as you can tell by my sig, I really love that line and the message it conveys.

Course the delivery of this one is an important factor in why it's so touching. But there's just something so heart-tugging but also amazingly sweet and peaceful about it.

I love those as well. SYHA makes me hjappy when I hear it. I think it is just such a FM sounding song.

This is my favorite too! It is just so powerful! I feel the pain right with him.

I like most of Lindsey's lyrics...except the Mirage/Tango ones like Book of Love, Oh Diane, Family Man, Empire State...yuck! LOL They are too hokey!

I think Goodbye Angel is very pretty and should have been put on Mirage, and not scrapped only to reemerge on the box set.

I really identify with LB's lyrics on life experience level...whereas with Stevie's I identify on a love/relationship level...if that makes sense...

great minds think alike seteca!!! i have to be honest, i wasn't that big of a "come" fan at first (the album version) but the way he does it live is just..... wow. and i love to hear him talk about that song.... how it's meant to be sarcastic and funny, even though it just sounds dirty. the song has so many layers, lyrically and musically, and i think it's one of his best efforts to date IMO. and it's pretty damn sexy to watch him do this live, i highly recommend it, :laugh: in fact, i got a 9th row stevie side seat for greensboro in september and i'm not stopping till i get closer to lindsey! :laugh: :laugh: i have to be his blonde greensboro girl! ;)

as for Go Insane, another classic one that sounds so much better to me live... he puts so much passion into these lyrics that you can tell they mean so much to him. save me a place is an often overlooked song but i think it shines on many levels.

ITA...when I watched him in Dallas, it was intense to say THE LEAST!! LOL

You know what my fave part of the SYW version is? When he screams "NOBODY ELSE IS DOIN' IT!!" at the extreme top of his lungs!! He just SCREAMS it!!!!! All that male aggression in one line...and even if it's not anger, it's SOMETHING!!

He sings/plays it so differently in concert too than on SYW...it's darker, IMO, in concert...and when he wails "YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!!!" DANG, I love that!!!!
