Stevie's Beauty and Beasty DVD

I was looking at the new releases today in the store and saw the B/W Beauty and Beast film Stevie always mentions in her interviews for sale on dvd.

Ah, Jean Cocteau's 'La Belle et la Bete'... once of the most romantic and visually compelling films ever made. :)

It's very easy to see why Stevie was so taken by this film... I highly recommend it to everyone. Especially Criterion's restored DVD edition, which features a wealth of additional material.
Definitely worth owning.

Yep, it's a good one! I taped it when it was on Bravo or AMC a few years ago...

I adore this movie. It's so gorgeous and lush. It's worth paying $40 for the criterion DVD, even if the last few minutes leave something to be desired. Fabulous movie!

However...I do hold a strong sentiment towards the Linda Hamilton/Ron Perlman one, also...
