yes, I found 5 & 10 to be the hardest one's tho 2 will not be easy for the casual fan and I'm not even sure if I actually got 5 right. Personally, I'd rather have the bumper sticker then the lithograph

I'm proud to say I got them all right away, which is odd, since I don't usually feel like one of the more informed Ledgies.
I love that this is a merit-based contest with questions that no casual fan could answer easily (and any devoted fan can answer with some effort). THAT shows appreciation, IMO.

I agree. Usually they're rather lame questions where you really don't have to think much about them. I'm stuck on #5...i'm going to have to give that some more thought before entering  So Jake, almost ready for your concert??? Won't be long now til' you and one miss stephanie lynn nicks get caught in that elevator together ;)

I lived in Austin when The Dance premiered on MTV. A bar with a big screen got some radio DJs to hold a contest that night. The fans I sat near were not die-hard. People watched the premiere, saying things like "Stevie must be 40 by now, she looks good!" and "What is with Mick's face? Is he on medication?" and "This new song (Silver Springs) is intense" and "I hope they play Landslide (when the set list had been on the net for weeks). At one point an emcee announced "Does anybody here go to The Nicksfix?" and only two of us raised our hands. I went to the event because the DJs were giving away FM t-shirts and two tickets to see the band at any venue on the US mainland states. They asked the LAMEST questions when giving things away, and then just called on people who raised their hands in the crowd. The person who won these tickets answered the question "What year did Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham release their first album with Fleetwood Mac?" The person raised a hand, got called on, and then was given time to think about it. I was falling out of my chair, the picture of poor sportsmanship.
As for the anticipated elevator meeting, let's just say I'm warming up these vocal chords, gettin' ready to serenade with my original compositions (well, the lyrics are mine, the music is hers, as you know. New Jersey, Blackdressed Stevie, and me: Perfect Together).

OMG, Jake, I was THERE! It's that Brew Pub on 5th & San Jacinto or Trinity...I can't think of the name right now.... That was ME on the microphone talking about the NicksFix!! I was w/ my friend Karen watching the video right up close, and then I was at the KGSR table after that. My friend Bryan has been a DJ there since they've existed. He's the one who hooked me up w/ the LB phone call back in April.
Isn't that WEIRD? LOL

I wasn't sure you were old enough, but I thought you might have been there. (Except nobody else seemed to know squat about the band!)
I'm the guy who raised his hand when you asked about the Nicksfix! Remember, there were not many of us!
I remember some people had to stand because it was crowded.
Is it called the Copper Tank or something like that?

Oh, honey, I'm old enough! LOL Yep, that's it, the Copper Tank. I do remember feeling like I was speaking a foreign language. The internet was relatively new at that time, and I don't think the NicksFix was "officially" Stevie's site yet. I remember getting goosebumps, for the first of MANY times to come, during Stevie's GDW "go hooooooome" wail. Hee!

No, it wasn't her official site yet, but I think most of the folks there had internet. It was the university crowd.
Let me know if your friend the DJ needs needs somebody to talk with Stevie on the phone.:D
Did you win anything that night?

Win? No. Given? Yes. ;) Bryan gave me a video and a CD. I bought the cassette the week the album cuz I wanted it to count toward their sales. And speaking of KGSR, they just played SYW. Jody Denberg said "We'll give you another chance, Stevie" when the song ended. Cute.
Okay, I gotta go or I'm never gonna get out of here. I'll see y'all in Dallas!
