Mirage Video coming soon to DVD? [Archive]

There is a UK website called CDXpress. In addition to the Fleetwood Mac, Rumours & Tusk CD re-issues, they also have a Mirage 1982 DVD listed. You can pre-order now. If this is true, it almost looks like the Mirage video might finally be officially coming to DVD. Does anyone have any more information about this? I hope this is true, but I can't find anything about this here on any U.S. sites as far as pre-ordering anything.

That is MASSIVE news for the likes of me who came in late and never got the VHS (and don't particularly want the VHS medium anyway).

Oh wow, that would be incredible! If they had to pick one performance, I would definitely go with that one- everything about it is ultimate greatness. Plus, on the copy I ordered off e-bay, the picture isn't that great (yes, it is the officially released video from Channel 5 in the UK, but video quality greatly diminishes after 18 years!). But the box is in excellent condition! :rolleyes:

Then again, websites selling CD's/DVD's have things like that pop up quite often that never acually go on sale....lets hope thats not the case!

Is it an official copy released by Warner/Reprise or an affiliate. The reason I ask is all of the ones I have seen here in the U.S. are unofficial bootlegs that some person copied from their VCR to a DVD. If it is real, that is very cool and I am jealous!!! LOL

What they are selling is the same import that I bought, I think. But, it is supposed to be really good. I cannot wait to get it.:wavey:

I bought it from a seller on eBay who has a very high rating and tons of responses. tHere was another dude on their who also sells them but, he has a lot of negatives, and most are for delays in mailing them, etc. He has some bs answer for it all, but, both these sellers are living in Brazil. So if one can get them out of the country in a timely fashion, so can the other...You know?

Thanks again Peace! I saw it over there on Ebay, funny it has a BTM photo on the front of it, LOL!.... that always makes me question the "legit" ness of it when you see a wrong photo (time period) to another era disk...

Let me know the quality when you get it if you can... Id love to know. Almost bought it... but opted to get 03 Centrum MASS tour CDs, I hope its good.

Me too and I emailed the seller bout it before I bought it. So many ppl have bought it and loved it til I decided to go for it..

Have you got this yet Seek? Such a coincidence, I saw this Brazil import at HMV today, but it looked so sketchy I figured it would be a crappy version. If its good let us know, I'm sure it will still be there if I go back! lol

I sure will let you know. I should get it anytime. When I emailed him, he said that no one had complained about it even though the cover wasn't right...so we will see. If that damn thing comes and it is the Tango one, or something crappy, I will die. I love the band as the fab five, and now four, the other groupings I do not care for....

I have the Brazil DVD "version" of the Mirage Tour (with the BTM pic on the cover). It is great quality...not like "the Dance" - but it beats the quality of my 20 yr old VHS version of the concert. I believe the Brazilian/Mirage DVD was transfered to DVD from the old video disc version. Not a bad thing to have at all..until it is offically re-released. And I got mine on ebay for $12 too!

Yes, I think that I paid either 10.00 or 12.00 for mine as well. Not sure why they used the wrong pic...just someone quickly making covers who doesnot know the band I guess. I cannot wait to get mine. He says that it was mailed on the 9th and coming from Brazil it takes 1.5 to 2 weeks..

Well, I should think it's an officially released copy, since the company that sells it is a well-known Internet and mail-order company here. It also has these "special features" like discography and biography. Weird thing though is that the cover is from "Behind the mask" (the picture at the back). Dunno why, it says it's a Spanish cover. I haven't bought it though, so I can't say anything about the quality, but I should expect it to be very good.

I got my Mirage dvd and it is pretty damn good. I don't regret buying it. It is not the same quality as a dvd produced here, from the master stuff, but, it is worth the money to me.

My mothers friend owns a video store and when I found out that he had a copy of the video, I offered him $30 for it and he sold it to me. Then last year, he was nice enough to transfer it to DVD for me. Of course, it isn't the best quailty because it's from a video, but I just love that concert! The Chain is sooooooooooo intense!

But you have to give Lindsey props for having the balls (no pun intended) to wear those pants at a concert, let alone be filmed wearing them! Anyone else notice what I'm talking about? *wink-wink* I was quite taken aback the first time I watched the video! :laugh: :laugh:

This has been posted on the news page of the UK Fleetwood Mac Site

The Mirage Live Concert from 1982 that was only previously available as a VHS Video seems to be added to various online retailers Fleetwood Mac collection.
No official confirmation has been forecoming regarding this release
