* Fleetwood Mac Fan Club Tour Report May 17 to May 28

May 17
The band is getting into the groove of being on the road again. They
decided to stay in Philadelphia for a couple of days. In order to get to
the Atlantic City show they had a police escort for the 75-minute drive to
the New Jersey Broadwalk Hall.

May 18
A day off! Mick played a round of golf at Pine Hill in New Jersey. Mick,
Jamie (Mick’s assistant) and John Bunker teed off at 4:00 PM and went 11
holes; they lost 30 balls, but had a blast! Jamie has some shots of
comedic moments and as soon as they arrive we’ll post them for members.

Mick, Stevie, their assistants and members of the tour support team, went
to The Palm Restaurant for dinner. They had a fabulous dinner and ended
the evening with Stevie and Mick recording a 50th wedding greeting for Carl
Stubner’s (manager) parents.

May 19
The show in Philadelphia. The band was in great form electrifying the
audience. The fans in Philly are truly loyal to their Mac. The Band
really seems to connect on stage, giving the fans a memorable performance.
After the show, the band gathered in the hotel bar and mingled with guests.
Brett Tuggle, the keyboardist, was found leading a sing-along to Beatles
Songs. A unique moment for those in the right place at the right time.

The next morning Mick was seen shopping in Philadelphia where he picked up
some cool hats and additional camera equipment.

May 20
The band was treated to a private visit to the famous jewelry store,
Halloween. It was a hit! Both Stevie and Mick purchased sculptures and
jewelry.

May 21
The band is at the Pepsi Arena in Albany New York. They boarded the
private 727, flew to Albany, and were the delight of the fans in upstate
New York. The Mac is getting warmer and more interactive with the audience
each night – and the fans are showing their love and appreciation with warm
receptions.

The Band is now in The Big Apple. Each member separated and went to his or
her favorite hotel. The time in New York was cherished, especially for
Mick and Lindsey, as both Lindsey’s family and Mick’s family came to share
Memorial Day weekend together.

May 23
Mick and Lynn spent a relaxing day walking through New York, shopping and
meeting fans. They thought they had plenty of time to get to the show, but
everyone seemed to underestimate traffic in New York, especially Friday
afternoon traffic. The limousine got stuck in the Memorial Day weekend
rush and they almost missed sound check. But the delays didn’t hurt the
show, the Mac was on fire. And for the first time on this tour the crowd
galvanized and clapped to the beat of Mick’s base drum. The chemistry
between Mick and Lindsey was electrifying – much to the delight of the
fans.

Stevie struck a deep connection with this crowd and really interacted on
GDW, Standback and Beautiful Child.

Lindsey was possessed as he gave the fans an unforgettable display,
pounding the guitar so hard he actually drew blood.

Celebrity talk show host Bill O’Reilly, of the Fox’s O’Reilly Factor was
seen in the audience, surely formulating his trademark straight from the
heart report. Later Bill was invited back stage and met the band.

It was a quiet weekend in New York for the band members. A day off saw
Mick with a touch of the flu, and hence he was comfortable spending the day
resting with his family. Lindsey also spent the day with family, while
John McVie toured the city with fans constantly approaching.

May 25
During the sound check the band held a mini celebration for Stevie’s
Birthday, which is May 26, including cake with vanilla icing and the
traditional “Happy Birthday” sung by the band, family and friends. There
will be a bigger celebration when the band has a little longer break.

East Rutherford, New Jersey. Sold out show! It was a great show with a
great crowd, including lots of family and friends of the band. After the
show the radio contest winners had a meet and greet with the band.

During Landslide, the crowd went wild when Stevie sang “I’m getting older
too” and then held up her open hands to show she was 55!

May 26
The next day the band left New York, with Lindsey and Mick saying goodbye
to their families. The band boarded the private 727 and flew to Worcester,
MA.

May 27
The band played the first of two sold out shows in Worcester, MA. Mick was
still nursing his cold, in fact he was quite sick with the flu, but you
couldn’t tell from his performance on stage. The first “stage rusher” of
the tour climbed up on stage and was instantly removed by security.
Boston had the most rowdy and rambunctious audience so far on this tour.
They are definitely die-hard Fleetwood Mac Fans! One fan club member wrote
back, “Stevie is Twirling like a Goddess” and delivering more and more
powerful vocals. Just AWESOME live!

The Band drove with a police escort to downtown Boston where they spent the
night.

May 28
The next day included a workout in the hotel gym and preparation for the
next show.

Wycliffe Groussbeck, the Boston Celtics Owner, attended the second Boston
show, and presented Mick with an official Boston Celtics Jersey with Mick
Fleetwood’s name across the back. Mick was beaming!

Taryn Manning, actress and leader of the group Boomkat also attended the
show. She was just on the cover of FHM magazine and was on a Leno
rebroadcast this week. You may have seen her in the movie 8 Mile with
Eminem. Stevie saw her in Crossroads and told her that she was impressed
with Taryn’s work.

Neil Preston (photographer) has been shooting for the tour book. The book
is still planned to come out soon and in addition to being offered at
shows, it should be available on the Club site in the future.

More Soon!

Like any of this really means anything. What does it mean to say, members get Exclusive Merchandise in the same breath you say it will be for sale to the public soon? What's that?

I'm glad to see they're giving away tickets. It's about time! Who gets them is another story. If it's anyone fans here know...scream loud and clear about the winner...ok? We know who went to the rehersal, and those with promoter connections who got the few front row fan club seats. I'll wait to see who wins.

I know who WON'T.

I don't know about the majority of the rest of us fan club suckers, but personally the only update at the present time I want from SO Called FAN CLUB is an apology!! Money back would be nice also. I don't get it with this tour whole thing seems screwed up to me. I check everyday or 2 OKC tickets.com and the tickets seem to get better as concert gets closer. I was under the impression that the best seats are sold first. So I go and check out other venue sites same thing is happening at majority of them also. Did I miss something in the fine print that said fan club seats sold last?? Because that appears to be what is selling or what I would call fan club seats. These sections weren't even offered in fan club sale. This will probably be last concert I go to for some time. The whole fiasco has just left me with a bad attitude. I love Stevie and wouldn't miss concert for the world, but will never again be sucked in by the money grubbing pigs. I am beginning to believe it's not only Todd but also ticketmasters and tickets.com, I feel as though the whole damn thing was a phoney set up to begin with. Only my opinion all, sorry to vent again on this subject!! It's just makes my blood boil when I log on to tickets.com and see better seats avaible now.

I don't understand why this has taken so long considering radio stations have been giving away tickets for ages.

After the show the radio contest winners had a meet and greet with the band.

Once again why is this not on offer to the 'superfans'?

11 day update from the most well connected tour in the history of rock and roll.

As usual, the insider tidbits are so exciting and personal. Where else can you find out about a wedding greeting to Carl Stubner's "parents"? It's so pathetic that it's not even funny anymore.

For all of you who didn't join the fanclub, you'll be heartbroken to hear that there's a picture of Central Park posted that was taken from Lindsey's hotel room.

Did I mention that Lindsey wasn't in the room at the time the picture was taken?

Boomkats? Can someone tell me about this group. I thought I stayed current about music artists, did I miss someone important?

OK Landslide..have you tried to file a dispute with your credit card company? I've only heard of one person who was refused and from what I understand it was the credit card company and not really the fanclub who refused it. Sorry you and your daughter have been put through this.

Mine put me through the mill but, I have sent them the copy of my complaint to the CA Atty Gen, BBB and FBI...and copies of the complaint threads, along with a statement and filed out a form. No matter what they say, the club, when they get it, I am covered and should not have any more problems..but, it was not fun. :distress:

And, you know that I told them that. I am so not loving them. I did call Mastercard and tell them how they were handling it. They refunded my cd order with no fuss, but, the fan club, they wanted a detailed explanation, then I get a form to fill out and send in, then I get a letter saying that they need more so I send more and put all the emails and so forth with it and the reports that I filed, then I notice that where they orig refunded the fan club fee and showed it in dispute, they have reversed that and I call them and they want more and I popped a cork..hahahaha.. I did file with credit card company and charges were taken off. On May 29th I received a letter from CC or should I say 23 pages from the freaking fan club fighting me on the charges being reversed. Which about 11 pages I must fill out again and the other 12 a pack of lies. I am ready to fight now. At first I was just going to let the bastards WIN and drop it not after what I found out today. When talking with Ford Center today (in an email) I was told fan club never had best 20% of seats in OKC ever reserved. Fan club was the given less than 50 floor seats and nothing in front 3 sections at all. So how did I get 2 tickets from ebay front roll, that say fan club on them. Those came from someone on the inside obviously. Ford Center said publicity company for Fleetwood Mac did turn about 100 tickets back over to them last week. And yes the majority of them were better seats than fan club was ever offered. So this OKIE is going to stand up and fill out this stupid report again, (the fan club says I never ask for refund) Bull ****. I emailed and called they are the ones that never responded. Anyway credit card company has taken charges off for now, but have 45 days to get merchant to agree or show them proof as to why I shouldn't have to pay them. Well I think I have given them enough proof! What websites can I also include for credit card company to go look at??
Then they can see for their self how many people are unhappy. The lying fan club said in their letter to my cc company they had no unhappy fan club members. OK-Landslide

I'll send you my saved thread from Mick's Chat that got me banned...the Poll about who was happy with the fan club. It shows only 2 out of 60 people posted they were happy. Now you all know why he wanted "HAPPY PEOPLE" letters sent in.

Remember the guy who said he was happy and also said...send a shirt?

He planned all along to use the letters to dispute the reversals on credit card charges. He never intended to make good on anything about the club from day one.

Maybe Seeknpeace can send you a copy of the Petition, too. That might help along with the article from MSNBC.com.

I hope you saved your online receipt with your member name and number. The receipt doesn't say you can not get a refund. He put that on the site later on. My receipt from Verisign says nothing except my info and the amount I paid. It's what's on paper that counts not what he always changes on the web page.

One that really jumps out is that on our membership cards it clearly states no refunds. Who got membership cards ? I didn't until the one today sent thru my credit card company. Also he states that it has to be that way because 99.9% of members are happy and their is going to always be that one who nobody would ever be able to please. This guy needs to be behind bars, he is a class act con-artist. NEVER. His EGO is the size of TX and it will be his downfall. Any smart business person would never have alleged these lies. Fan club membership card? What? Is he crazy? And, no unhappy fans? What? OK-LANDSLIDE is the last person he should have messed with on a challange. She's the one who bought seats right up front just a few days before the show. The tickets are labled FAN CLUB right on them.

GIRL, I HOPE YOU SAVED THE TICKETS ALONG WITH A DATED RECEIPT SHOWING WHEN YOU PURCHASED THEM WAS LONG AFTER THE FAN CLUB PRE-SALE in which you were originally ripped off.

You have it nailed, probably better than most, to show that there was behind the scenes manipulation of FAN CLUB SEATS. If the employees at the venue will back you up, in writing, then this will open a can of worms that he never should have opened. Bad move he's made here.

Not exactly, Pip. An online group formed the very day of the first ticket sale, before alot of the board was purged, with dozens of people saving most everything that was there before the delete party began. Now that she's asking for help and we know he is contesting the charge backs, there are dozens of people who can help get her the proof she needs. It'll just take a bit more time in her case.

Anyone else needing documentation for credit card reversals being disputed by the fan club, please post an email addy in the thread called FAN CLUB UPDATE. I'm sure the folks with the paper trail will help if they see your message. Not many people have mentioned needing help so far. Most have had no problem with their credit co., or they decided to give up. If you want to fight it, please post. Other fans will give you all the help you need. Many don't visit this site daily, but we can keep this thread bumped to the top if a lot of people are in need of help. Just ask.

I sure do *HOPE* that you mean that someone in either Stevie's or Lindsey's circle of friends has been alerted.

I managed to stay out of the whole Fan Club mess by learning from other people's misfortunes, but I feel like I'm watching a train wreck in slow motion.

This could be *really* bad for the band, in terms of personal liability. Once criminal and/or civil charges get filed, there will be tons of lawyers to pay.

Another thing that the band members should be aware of: if the civil charges are substantiated, then there could be punitive damages in the millions of dollars. (Remember -- that's how Nicole Brown's family finally managed to get OJ, after the criminal court had already acquitted him.)

While Jonathan Todd would be the one who *should* pay them, the band's pockets could be emptied too -- after all, JT could conceivably claim that he was merely their employee and that they condoned what he was doing. The burden of proof would be on the band to prove that they had no idea......

If you really are in the bands' circle, BEG them to do the right thing here -- not just for their own families, but for their long-time fans who've been burned and saddened and repelled by this fiasco.

OK-LANDSLIDE I DIDN'T WANT TO BELIEVE OKC NEVER HAD ANY FAN CLUB SEATS WORTH A DAMN SET ASIDE. SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES, AND WAS TOLD BEST SEATS FOR OKC WERE RELEASED IN THE LAST WEEK.

I think everyone would like to leave lawsuits out of the equasion. We're just fans who want to be treated fairly, equally and honestly.

Hang in there OK-Landslide! Post here if you need to vent! :wavey:

You weren't serious with that comparison, were you?

Not sure, but, I took her to mean that when you are sued, the actual damages are not where you typically get your big payout...it is the punitive side so that it will help to prevent others from doing it and the person who did it will think twice before he does it again. That is how I took it, cause there is no comparison between the two crimes.

Well, I suppose it depends on what you mean by "serious."

Do I think that what is going on with the fan club is as serious as a man murdering his wife and an innocent bystander in cold blood? Of course not!

My point was that sometimes, when the criminal justice system fails, the only recourse is to use the civil justice system. That is what Nicole Simpson's family had to do after the criminal courts failed them. The civil system lawsuit was the only way for Nicole's family to achieve some small measure of "justice" for the loss and pain they incurred.... not that any amount of money will *ever* be an adequate substitute for someone you love.

Do I advocate folks sic'ing lawyers on the members of Fleetwood Mac, a band that I've been a hardcore fan of since 1982? Of course not!

I just can't understand how they can be blind to this situation with the fan club. And my fear is that the longer it goes on, unchecked and out of control, the more *likely* it will be to end up in court. And if it does end up in court, that will quite possibly be the end of Fleetwood Mac, period. I don't want to see that happen.

And now I'm going to hop down off my soapbox and go back to work!

This is JMHO OK and I know it won't be popular but just chucking it in.

I love the MUSIC that the members of FM put out, I have no personal feelings about them as I don't know them.

Now, this will get a laugh but SERIOUSLY, just say Stevie (or Lindsey, Mick or any of 'em) killed someone (and meant to etc.). Would "you" (collective) want to see her/them walk off scot free just because you/we are her/their fans (I mean besides them murdering JT) :) ?

If they are so innocent then they shouldn't have trouble "proving that" even though the idea is "innocent until PROVEN GUILTY" (I know, it doesn't always work that way but...)

If they do know/are guilty then they should be accountable for their actions and shouldn't be above the law. It would be a sad end to the band I agree, but it would not be just if it was to continue if (they) were guilty, IMO.

The ironic thing here is BECAUSE they are high profile "stars" they'd probably just get fined or some community service TOPS but this is all assuming "we" have the kind of money they have for wall to wall lawyers (as said above by someone) which we probably don't (I could be wrong though) and as not many (it would seem) want to press charges/go the civil way (whatever, I fully admit, I'm not up on all the legal stuff) about all of this anyways, whichever way you slice it, they're hardly headed up to L.A. County Jail.

Anyways, just some thoughts about how "I" don't think any one should be above the law even though as I say, I know it doesn't always come out that way unfortunately. Carry on though, just my 2 cents. :)

(speaking from the "collective me") - I agree, I wouldnt want anyone to get away with murder. Even if Stevie, or other celebs I like were to do that... no one, IMO, is above the law.

I would think any lawsuits that would arise out of this would be aimed towards JT and not FM, even though I suppose via legalities, its the same since they contracted / hired JT.

I just hope it doesnt come to that, ever.

Well, John, I totally agree with you. I hope that we reach some kind of understanding or agreement and that it doesn't go that far, but, you gotta know that it has been looked into. Just the last thing I personally want to do.

I think that they are responsible for whoever their hire or give their name to as well. They are not children and if they are so out of tune with what is going on in their business life, this may be the wakeup call that they need. JMO too.. :wavey:

Me too Stephanie...it makes me really sad and that is another reason that I am fighting so hard, so that is not all that is left for us to do. The thing is that if they know, they are wrong to the ultimate to hope that we will just go away, cause I think that is not going to happen, I know it won't for me. And there are 380 other ppl who have already put their names on the petition, granted not all are members of the club, but a large majority are judging from their comments. So there are a lot of upset ppl. And, FM is responsible for what JT does in their names...

OJ was not convicted of a crime. Nor was Jonathan Todd... at least so far in relation to the fan club.

Oh, and as for these types of lawsuits the sued parties do not have to be convicted of a crime. For the records, I used the term crime as IMO there have been crimes committed by BOTH individuals.

Then the crimes are alleged.
