View Full Version : Nashville review. (Yes, I'm still long-winded.)

I wasn't going to go to this concert. I've never been to Nashville before, and I wasn't even sure how far away from Atlanta it is, but I've been checking Ticketmaster habitually for months now and when I saw those front row seats, I didn't hesitate. I just hit the buy button. I then, of course, let everyone know about it and someone named strandinthewind e-mails me and offers to ride up to Nashville with me. Me being me, I said thank you, but no because I would feel completely weird about driving anywhere with someone I hadn't met or had much contact with online. It took me six years to meet my favorite author and my goddess, remember?

So we get to Nashville early (even earlier than we'd planned because I didn't realize that Nashville is in the central time zone) and walk around, buy souvenirs and eat. I saw a lot of gals in Stevie outfits. We signed up to win an autographed tamborine from one of the radio stations there. (There were three or four radio stations with their posters and vans everywhere for this concert.) Then we once again get wanded by security (oh joy) and the little female guard makes me unzip all of my purse compartments, but somehow still manages to not notice (or care about) my camera. So we go over to the will call window and pick up our FRONT ROW tickets. The girl did a double take and said, "I'm sure you'll enjoy the show!" So we go over to the merchandise counter and I get a t-shirt. Still no tourbooks, and I guess at this point, we're not getting one. Then we go down to our seats. Front row. Front row. OMG. The security guards at this venue wear these cute little waiter looking vests, very non-threatening. I can take 'em. One of them came over and chatted with us for a while and another came up and asked, "Just curious, but how much did you pay for your tickets?" I think he was shocked that I only had to pay sticker price ;) People are filing into the venue and I hear yelling and clapping coming from behind me so I turn around and there is a bride and groom, in full wedding attire, heading down to their seats. They groom acknowledges the applause, but we are all disappointed that they are so far back on the floor.

It's getting close to show time, and I think I get as nervous as Stevie before a concert, but a man comes over and sits next to me and immediately asks me where I'm from. I say Atlanta and he goes, "Are you Tracy?" I'm kicking myself for not lying, but I'm such a bad liar anyway. I say yes, and he tells me he's strandinthewind. And he's the most gregarious, fun person and totally made up for my shy weirdosity. He then introduces me to Livia, who is a totally down to earth, friendly lady who I think thought I was someone else for a minute there :p

The crickets start and my heart starts pounding. We stand (and most of us in the FRONT ROW didn't sit once). Here they come again. Mick, John, Lindsey and Stevie. The Chain. I can't ever fully appreciate it because I'm always shocked that the band is *right there* in front of me. Then Dreams, and I am again amazed by how much I'm loving it during this tour. Stevie is totally into it for the first time in YEARS. And then Stevie says the "Welcome Nashville, city of country music" thing and I smile. She's so cute. Fashion note, she's wearing her Reeboks from the first note. Lindsey has changed out of his Sanford and Son t-shirt and is wearing one of his fished-out-of-the-laundry-basket white long-sleeved shirts.

Peacekeeper is such a boring song. I don't understand why they chose this one as the lead single. Blah. Lindsey mouthed the bird call thing. I thought that was cute ;) Afterward, someone yelled out that Out of the Cradle was great, and I made sure my love for Red Rover was known.

I *LOVE* Eyes of the World so much. Stevie obviously loves singing on that one, too. She always does the eyes-widening thing as she's singing her parts.

Stevie always goes over to the side of the stage to change into her Rhiannon blouse. I'm like, couldn't they get you a little curtain, Stevie? It's just odd. But then she joins Lindsey on Second Hand News and it's that old Buckingham Nicks magic. You gotta love the bam bams. Stevie obviously does.

Rhiannon was wonderful. Stevie wraps her arms around herself again, and I see shadows of the past fall around her. Never Going Back Again is perfection. I still can't believe Stevie's doing harmony on it and I get to hear it live.

Stevie walks across the stage and pauses to touch Lindsey's arm. I'm not sure if she said anything to him, but it was a sweet moment. Then it's time for Come. Man, oh, man, if you haven't seen it live, you need to find a way to do so. He just goes completely nuts. It's amazing. I can't honestly remember if it's this song where he comes down to our side, but whatever song it was, he gets down on the stage like he's done before and he's *right in front of me* so I go up to him and reach out and touch his arm and then his guitar. Ok, I'm freaking out. I am such a groupie. Oh, complete tangent, but three guys told me I was pretty last night (which almost makes up for the fact no one has complimented me in like, a decade). Strandinthewind was first, but I think he would have said that if I were half-mongoose. This other guy was standing next to me, and just looks over and tells me I'm pretty and chats with me for a few minutes, and when he saw Lindsey COME down and play he was like, 'Man, he's awesome!' He was totally egging me on to groupie-dom.

Landslide was beautiful. Stevie flashed her fingers again, signifying her new senior citizen status. She didn't hold the 'well maybe...' part very long at all, but she sort of lifted her hands up a little like she was telling us to 'take it' and rushed into the end of the song. She totally needs to milk it. We so wanna go there with her. They hugged at the end. I didn't have a very good vantage point for it, but I know there was no mouth-to-mouth action ;)

I'm sure my idea of the setlist is completely out of order, but I got so excited when the Big Love curtain was raised behind Lindsey. I love to see him do the song. He was getting ready to introduce it, and there was a problem with the spotlight, and he says, 'Albert (or whatever his name was), we're going to get the lights right eventually, aren't we?' I'm sure I have the quote wrong, but it was funny.

Say Goodbye. Elga is right. I'd come just to see this song. But WHY do the idiots always have to announce themselves during this song!?! It's so beautiful, so quiet, and these girls behind me think it's the perfect opportunity to yell out, 'We love you Stevie!' Neither Lindsey or Stevie reacted, but I just wanted to yell back that Stevie already knows we love her and probably doesn't appreciate the interruption during such a heart-wrenching performance. It's just so rude to do this during LINDSEY's song, especially. Oh, and I think Lindsey had a different intro for the song. I made a mental note to remember whatever it was that he said, but obviously it didn't stick. *smacks forehead*

I actually liked What's the World Coming To more so than I have at any of the other concerts so far. It was probably performed in exactly the same way it has been all tour, but it just seemed to have more of an acoustic opening to the song that I totally enjoyed. And Lindsey gave the spontaneous speech again ;)

Apparently, Stevie stuttered at the beginning of her Beautiful Child intro. I missed it and asked strandinthewind what she said, and he told me she said something like, 'St..st...say something, Stevie!' and then went into her usual, didn't-think-we'd-do-this-live speech.

Gold Dust Woman was a show-stopper. Strandinthewind made sure to point out Stevie's beautiful long red nails. She's still stunning in her gold shawl. She did all her hand motions and spider fingers, but no twirling. But she walked over to the center of the stage and faced Mick's drums and sort of half-leaned in this beautiful pose for a full minute. She's so awesome.

So Afraid moved me again. I think I'm finally becoming a fan of this song. It's hard not to when Lindsey's sweating and straining and breaking guitar strings all over the place. He got so excited he was holding his guitar over his head and I became enamored with his little belly immediately. It then became my mission in life to capture it on film and to gaze at it adoringly whenever it peeked out from under his wrinkled shirt. But yes, he is a little white-y ;)

Silver Springs I had difficulty concentrating on because this photographer who had been running back and forth in the front row kept running in front of me and standing there to take pictures. This is also when the guy who had told me I was pretty earlier decided to ask me out. And I'm so distracted because Silver Springs is one of my favorite songs. I ended up missing most of it, but now I have a date with a guy from Nashville.

Ok. Tusk. Dayum. How can I express it? Lindsey was all over the song and towards the end, he runs over to the amp RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME and puts his leg over it, and I'm looking straight up at Lindsey who is playing the hell out of his guitar and he stays there for a nice long time and I am in awe. Lindsey did the head butting thing with John and starts circling Stevie and she was play-acting like she didn't want any part of it and it was completely and utterly adorable. She wasn't really upset, and it was so fun to see this in person. They are having a ball up there.

Ok. Stand Back is one of Stevie's best live moments this tour, but I couldn't keep my eyes off Lindsey (it's hard when he's RIGHT IN FRONT of you). So I'm singing along to the song and glancing over at Stevie when I finally catch Lindsey's eyes, and he's not near his mic, but he's singing, too. He was half-smiling while singing it with me. And let me just say, he is so awesome to the fans this tour. He singles you out and gives you that moment where he is completely focused on you and no one else. He did this for several of the girls in front of me during all of his songs and he did it during Come with his finger wagging at people. He's doing all he can to make it special for us.

Go Your Own Way. Lindsey was all over the stage, all over the audience, all over his guitar. And he reaches down and takes the hand of the guy next to me and I reach up my hand and he takes it with his left hand. And yes Elga, his hands are soft, it's just the tips that are calloused. I thought his hands would be sweaty, but they weren't. I was going to let go so he could take someone else's hand, but he squeezed my hand a little and I squeezed back and he held it another second or so before letting go. I couldn't believe it. Still can't, but I have witnesses! Of course, he held Livia's hand for a half-hour, but I didn't mind ;)

As the band are making their way back onto the stage, Livia (who had joined us from the second row) points out that Stevie had a sour expression on her face as they walked up, but I didn't see it. I may have gotten a picture of it, if they turn out. World Turning gets better every time. Stevie was *totally* into it. Torri found her way to us during Mick's solo and once again I prove just how blonde I am and start yammering away AGAIN about nothing significant (because no one cares about Mick's stupid drum solo), but I had forgotten that she's taping the show. So I'll be the blithering idiot on yet another recording of a Mac show. I think it took me about five minutes before I remembered, too. I don't know why she doesn't just smack me and tell me to shut the hell up. Anyway, Mick finally goes back behind the drums where he belongs and the rest of World Turning kicks ass. Oh, but Lindsey did sit on the edge of the stage in front of us and acknowledged a few of the fans that were yelling to him.

Don't Stop was fabulous again. They've reinvented the song and I don't hate it anymore. My heart was beating time to the drums because I was right in front of the amp and I think beginning with GYOW things got a lot LOUDER.

Stevie comes out in her pink shawl for Goodbye Baby and I notice (for the first time) Mick's tiny Barbie-doll looking drumset he uses on this song. Stevie sang it beautifully. Big smiles at the end. Lindsey signed someone's CD before leaving the stage.

I was just standing there still grinning like an idiot when a guy who was standing next to me looks at me and asks me if I am the Nashville Idol. I tell him I have no idea what that is (and think to myself that I'm scared to find out) and he tells me I'm pretty. I think I need to move to Nashville.

On the way home, Lightning 100.1 played most of the setlist of the concert. So thanks to them for helping me write down some notes because my memory is shot.

One of the best reviews that I've read! I felt like I was right up there with you in the front row (& I wish I were. Row 16 just does not cut it.)

And you got a date of it, too. How cool it that!:laugh:

Sounds like you had a blast. :nod:

What a knock out show and experience for you guys. Congratulations, and I hope you have some pictures that came out. I dont know how I would focus! What an amazing night it was for all you guys. I'm not going to bother posting a real review. The show kicked ass.. big time.

That's all that needs to be said. At one point, Stevie stuttered.. "st..st..SPEAK stevie." Later, she got a little confused in Don't Stop.. "why not think about the things you've done.. and not about the things that you've done.." hahahahahaha.. BUT that's ok. She was so cute.

Lindsey was amazing, of course. My sister said to me, "and now, I finally understand why he is your guitar god." After listening to their songs on cd.. she'd never gotten it (dunno why..) NOW, she does. :)

Stand Back as.. amazingly good. I wasn't looking forward to this one,but t was great. We were all dancing & singing.. it was great.

Stevie: "Nashville!!!!!! City of Dreams!!!"

Tracy,

AWESOME review!! I also felt like I was right up there with you! I agree with your assessment of Lindsey - he is SO good to the fans this time around - singling us out, singing to us, holding our hands for an extended period of time.....he's the greatest!

He sang a few lines of Stand Back to me, too! But the greatest for me was when he sang "you see your gypsy' away from the mike and looking at me........... ok - here I am caught up in my fantasies again!

Thanks for the great review!

Well I have to say Nashville Super-seeded the Columbus show! It was amazing. Esp from the 5th row! I had a great time in Nashville, which in itself is a great city. And I met three wonderful ledgies whom I had the pleasure of spending saturday with:
strandinthewind, Livia and Torri! Met some great vip's at the venue and bar and the concert rocked. Besides being in my post concert blues, driving home the 6 hours and heading back to work, I must say, saturday ROCKED!~!!!
I think strandinthewind is our designated review writer once he re-cooperates..lol.

Now my quest is for a third show!! It may make me poor but damn it I will go out with a freaking smile on my face! :D

Ok break time is almost over..back to work...

Thanks to Tracy, Tamara and Sarah for the reviews! You guys make us feel like we're right there with you.

Tracy, you are now locked into giving us reviews from every show you attend, and they must all be long and unedited :) You are never long winded, only long on important details like Lindsey's belly and letting everyone know how soft his hands are! Seriously, your reviews rock...keep them coming!

Hey, everybody! I will write an official review when I get time...I dropped my pix off this morning and will pick them up at lunch...a few highlights....

Tracy, that photographer was none other than Neal Preston!!! I also heard that Walter Egan was at the show, he was backstage the entire time.

Of course, he held Livia's hand for a half-hour, but I didn't mind
Yes, LB held my hand for a VERY long time (Christie, honey, I hope you are sitting down for this - LOL). It was right after World Turning and I was the last person in LB's "receiving line." If I could bottle up the feeling I had at that moment and sell it, I'd be rich! LOL I couldn't believe it! My new friends around me in the 2nd row didn't come up to the front of the stage for the encore, but they all saw it - the looks on their faces were priceless! After LB shook strandinthewind's hand after GYOW, I made him touch me first - then, after my elongated hand-holding with LB, the 2nd row girls who were next to me did the same thing to me! LOL Man, I hope a bootleg video of this show turns up somewhere!

I've got some work to catch up on, but I'll write more later. Tammy, I'm glad you made it home safely! Tracy, it was a pleasure meeting you! I'm ready for another show....

Later!
Livia

~~~Thanks again for the emotion-packed review, Traci. I too was at Nashville and I only got to hang out briefly with Torri(love her). Sorry I missed the rest of the ledgies. The show kicked major you know what. I love how Stevie flashed her fingers twice for the 55 years. Both she and Lindsey seemed relaxed like they were really having fun. I agree Nashville is a great city and a super place for Fleetwood Mac to strut their stuff.~~~
I'm not going to post a true review after the awesome one that was posted first, but I will have to say that it was the best concert I have ever seen! They were even better than they were at the Pyramid in Memphis in '97, which I would have said was the best before now.
Also, I wish I had known that all these people I see on here everyday were sitting all around me! I had fourth row, straight in front of Stevie. It was just so amazing! I was so super close. I bet I saw all you guys at the concert, and I didn't even know it. Well, if anyone saw a girl in the fourth row in front of Stevie that never sat down in a white, Rhiannon style shirt, glass-flower, medalion necklace, blue jeans, and long, blonde hair that is pretty tall that was me :D, and I wish I could have met some of you true fans like me. I'm glad that some of you got to meet, even if we didn't. Glad you enjoyed Nashville! It is a wonderful place. I grew up there, and it has always been a perfect place to see a concert. Hopefully, they will come again, and some of us can meet up.
Also, I'm dying to have an audio copy of the concert in Nashville, if anyone on here has one. I would trade, etc. for it.
Well - I must say these last three days have been just incredible.
FIRST PART - GETTING TO THE CONCERT
On the way into Nashville from the airport, my S. Korean cab driver replied to me telling her why I was in town by saying she knew FM from the 70's as they used to frequent the restaurant where she worked. I'm like "this is a sign!" Then, Livia and I hooked up the day before the concert. After a hurried and whispered initial cell phone exchange (I unknowingly called during her tour of the famous "Studio B" in Nashville and she had forgotten to turn her cell phone off :laugh: ), we by chance hooked up at a place called "Legends." All we could think of was the legend line in HAEWAFY. Then, the live band starts playing "All my ex's live in Texas," and Livia's from Texas. Also, we were seated pretty much next to this huge wall of albums; our table was mere feet from FM's "White Album." Then, we go to dinner at this great restaurant where the hostess/manager tells me one of the guys training to be a waiter is Billy Burdette's son. So, of course, I have to go immediately talk to him. He was very cool and looks a little bit like his dad. Then the bartender (we ate in the bar) tells us FM's manager had been in the rest. as well. After all of this, I am thinking, how many more FM coincidences could there be in one day. Well . . . .
THE DAY OF THE CONCERT
I awoke with a headache from the night before so I had a massage, lunch, and took in the Country and Western museum, the Tennessee State museum, and also walked around the very pretty city of Nashville. As I was getting ready, a biography of Janis Joplin was on the television. Then Livia, Tamara, and I hooked up at their beautiful hotel, where they have this huge neon jukebox in the lobby. One of the records they allegedly had was "The Wild Heart" but we could not find it on the juke box. So, we hung out for awhile and then were off to the concert. We hung out at the same restaurant where Livia and I ate the night before as it is across the street from the venue (which by the way looks like the hat Cher wore with that off white outrageous Academy Award outfit for (I think) the Moonstruck nomination.). Some former soap opera star (Ryan Scott) sat next to us for awhile, which was kind of cool. He was going to the concert. Then we hung out around the concert venue for awhile which was a very cool way to see all of the people, etc. Then, we went into the arena . . .
THE CONCERT GOING ON'S (SONG REVIEW IS BELOW THIS)
My seat was incredible. I am very tall (6'4") so I was a little worried about standing and blocking the view fo the first five rows behind me. But, I was just off to the side enough to where I blocked no one but, of course, Neal Preston as he was trying to take pictures. We joked about it. He was very cool and I then made a huge effort to stay out of his line of sight, etc. I must say meeting Tracy was great. She was the perfect calming effect to my "mania" that night due in part to the excitement of the concert and a few (oh alright many) cocktails!!!! :cool: :laugh: And, yes, Tracy you are a dish and so deserve to have all of those guys ask you out!!!!!!! :cool: The funny thing was when Tracy started taking pictures, the security guard politely tells me to tell her to stop. So, after much discussion, I think Tracy convinced them to let her take pictures without the flash, etc. Way to go Tracy. Then about three or so songs into the concert this 60 something year old woman dressed like Stevie apparently starts telling the security guard she knows me and that she should be allowed to come to me, etc. Well, this woman had spoken to me and Livia briefly before the concert but that was it. I told this to the security guard who seemed to know this woman and what she apparently was up to. This was a strange experience for me, because I was scared they would get mad at me for this woman's antics. Thankfully, they did not. I shook LB's had twice and he more than once nodded to me and the group when he was sitting on the side of the stage during "World Turning." No one had a better LB moment than Livia as she mentioned earlier!!!!! We were all in awe of that!!! Then - be still my heart - Stevie nodded and sort of winked at me during Goodbye Baby; she also touched my hand during one song - thank goodness for my height and wingspan as they enabled her to reach me. People around me freaked out a little. She also bowed to me after I bowed to her when she was standing on the side of the stage at the end of the concert!!!!!!!! It was heavenly!!!! Both of them could not have been nicer or more crowd friendly.
THE CONCERT ITSELF
The Chain - great - I missed a little of it arguing with the security guy over Tracy's camera LOL!!!
Dreams - I always say drop it, but then when I am there I love it
Peacekeeper - I agree it is a boring song - but they sounded great during it
Eyes of the World - they looked like they were having a party on stage. It was great to see them have so much fun during a song. Yes, I too loved "the eyes-widening thing as she's singing her parts."
Second Hand News - Great - esp. the Stevie bam bam bams
Rhiannon - she got up on it for a few moments at the end. It made my eyes a little tearful to see a glimpse of this history. I believe she also pointed at the crowd when she sais "Well I don't think you do" after the "Would you even try line."
Never Going Back Again - not my fav. song, but great in concert, esp. her harmony
Come - I was about four feet from Stevie when she walked across the stage and touched Lindsey's left arm at the elbow. I thought I saw her lips say something to the effect of knock em dead. But I cannot be sure. LB was on fire in this.
Landslide - stunning esp. with the finger flashing thing - no sparks during the hug.
Big Love - I like it, but needed a bathroom, booze break.
Say Goodbye - great song. LB is the king on this one as well
What's the World Coming - really good
Beautiful Child - the stuttering during the intro. was cute/funny. She stumbled over her initial words and then ribbed herself by saying something like "wouldn't it be great if I could say something" and sort of shook her head as if to say "aren't I a big dummy who can't even start a sentence correctly" LOL
Gold Dust Woman - show-stopper. Those blood red nails against that gold shawl esp during the spider fingers part - YIPES!!!! The pose at the end was great and little like the one at the end of The Dance. The go home part was also a little severe though nothing like the one on The Dance version
ISA - like it and love LB on it.
Silver Springs - I moved away from my spot because Neal Preston was taking pictures. I actually spent more than one song staying out of the way - but I am cool with it because he was so nice to me about it. I sort of just moved a few feet further back and little to the side. However, at one point a new security lady and I got into it because I told her I could not go back where I was because the band's photographer was taking pics. Fortunately, the big African American security guy that dealt with the Stevie look a like earlier came to the rescue and let me stand while the pics were being taken. Tracy - congrats on obtaining a date during this song, which is hysterical if you think about it. I mean of all times and places . . . . :]
Tusk - The head butt drama is great. I hope they do it in Atlanta so Sulamith and I can roll with laughter.
Stand Back - I agree with Tracy "one of Stevie's best live moments this tour" although I was way to the side on this one trying to stay out of the way of the photographer. I must agree with Tracy about LB in this song as well as in other songs - he is so awesome to the fans this tour. He totally singles you out and gives you that moment where he is completely focused on you and no one else. He did this to me at least once and perhaps twice.
Go Your Own Way - great - At some point around the time of this song, I basically yanked Livia over to the front row from the second - so she totally has me and me alone to thank for the half of an hour hand holding (puff - puff!!! - LOL)
World Turning - I think Mick just needs to lose the solo and stay behind the drums - I am sorry if that offends anyone - but it is just an annoying distraction for me; that time (five or so minutes) could be another song. But, if anyone really gets into it then great and I guess they should keep it in for them. The coolest thing was LB siting on the edge of the stage about ten feet from us and sort of discreetly waving and nodding to "us."
Don't Stop - Stevie is so great in CM's part.
Goodbye Baby - perfection
It was so great to meet all of my online friends, Liviaa, Tamara, Tracy, Torri, and everyone else!!!!
To quote the bus stop lady in Forrest Gump, "I thought it was a loooovely story, and you tell it so well, with such enthusiasm!" :D
Okay, strandinthewind, you are right, I owe my LB moment to you! ;)
Just got my pics back - only about 1/2 the roll came out decent, a couple great ones, but I was too far away from Stevie's side, so most of them are LB...I will scan and post them, hopefully today, or tomorrow at the latest. I'm going to the camera thread to talk about photo tips, etc., so go there if you're interested...
Thanks for your comments (and for reading all that ;) I haven't gotten my pictures developed yet, but I'm going in a few minutes. Hopefully some will turn out!
LOL Sarah, I didn't notice Stevie's World Turning flub! I wish I could have met you there. I didn't know you were going!
Goldie, you know! Lindsey is just so present with us. It's amazing. He didn't do all this during The Dance, did he? I only went to one concert and was on the LAWN for it.
Cour, you don't know what you're asking for ;) But I'm usually so hyper after a concert that the reviews just flow out of me anyway.
Livia, I had no idea that was Neal Preston. I'm glad I didn't fuss at him for jumping in front of me ;)
Strand, that is my favorite review so far ;) I only got ONE date at the concert and even that's iffy cause I'm supposed to do the calling. But it was pretty hysterical that it happened during Silver Springs ;) I had no idea you were being hounded by security on my behalf! I'm sorry! Thank you, though. I still can't believe you got to touch Stevie's hand.
Thank you for telling us what Stevie said before Come! How funny. And the Beautiful Child stumble, too.
Livia will be indebted to you for the rest of her life ;)
Hee Hee - no harm no foul!!!!! It was just that initial part after which you explained that your flash was off etc. I have to say, the two security guys by us were just great in my opinion. Believe me, I have seen alot worse.
Yes, I must say touching Stevie's hand (and LB's for that matter) in front of 25,000 or so people is to say the least an eye opener. About 100 emotions ran through me and what lasted probably two seconds felt like 2 years in that moment. Interestingly, the people around me were sort of in a way trying to climb up on me like a mountain to get nearer to her. But, I had no time for that and nicely shook them off!!!!!! Also, her bow "me" in response to my bow to her at the end was also pretty terrific.
You know, I gave this huge party last night (I was so tired!!!!! - thank goodness I hired help!). One of the guests who is a doctor told me last Friday or so, Stevie saw a gastrointernoloigst friend of his in ATL for some stomach troubles. He also said they or at least she apparently was staying here in Atlanta last week for this appointment. I have no clue as to whether this is a true story, but my friend is an honest guy and he volunteered this info and had no reason to make such a thing up, etc. So, I thought this was an interesting tidbit!!!! Imagine if she had emailed you for a ride to Nashville!!!!!!!!! ; :cool:
Okay - I am now having a creepola/scary moment. Someone just emailed me a pic of myself at the concert dailing my phone so a friend of mine could hear a little of the concert. The problem is I do not remember giving my e-mail address to anyone and the sender's email address is a bunch of numbers and says T-Mobile. Nor do I remember anyone around me with a camera phone and, although I had had cocktails galore :laugh: , I remember everything else about the concert. Yet, I am clearly posing for the pic as I am a large overcooked ham :laugh: (and, of course, I look great - puff puff :cool: ) YIPES!!!!!!!
I'm taking none of you were the drunk girls :)
I was right in front of Stevie and this group of girls (4 or 5) were just...completely slammed the whole night. They were pushing & kept leaving for more drinks, and their friends would come and give them more drinks. It was weird.
Anyone know what happened with the lady (or 2 or 3) were were escorted away by security?
I thought that was funny.
Well, in light of my touching Lindsey's knee!
No, as far as I could tell none of my group was that "rowdy" group. But, hey if that is the group I am thinking of, they looked like they were having a good time as far as I could see :laugh:
The only lady I saw escorted out was that look a like I mentioned earlier who apparently said she knew me, etc. But, i heard one or two other people were escorted out as well for different reasons. If the security in their section was anything like the teo security guys in mine, they must have had to do alot to be kicked out because "my" two guys were just great in my opinion.
There was a girl with a short-stretchy skirt, tank top, and blonde straight hair in a ponytail and her boyfriend in my row (fourth) that kept climbing over the seat to get closer to the stage. She made it up to the stage and security told her she had to go back to her seat. She went half way back. Then, she inched her way back up there again. Then, she broke out the digital camera and started taking all kinds of pictures. The security guy saw her and told them they had to leave the show, because he had told her twice to go back to their seat and the whole camera thing. They left then I look over and in a few songs they are in their original seats in the fourth row. It was something! :laugh:
What a great show that must have been. Imagine if these shows were all chronicled on DVDS! I'd be wanting to sign up to purchase them at the end of a show! Strandinthewind, thank you for so much detail! Thank you to all of you for giving your views: Tamara, Sarah, Livia, Golddust, Golddustwoman77 and flyfirefly. I am waiting to read Livia's tales of the road, and I hope the photography gods were with you all. :) Ahhh, Torri. I am still hoping she weighs in with a review. She is the original road warrier! :)
