Here is the program description for VH1's planned "All Access" show on the band.

http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/vh1_all_access/64610/episode_about.jhtml

Current air date listed:

Monday, June 16 11/10c PM

About the Episode:

VH1 gets exclusive behind-the-scenes access as the band prepares for its upcoming blockbuster tour. We’ll be up-close-and-personal with Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks. They’ll talk about their new sound, how the album came together and the personal nature of their new music. This is a chance to rediscover the members of the band in an intimate and spontaneous way and get to know their new tunes.

Since day one, Fleetwood Mac has been as much about family as it has been about music. John and Christine McVie were married. Stevie and Lindsey had been an item since high school. The group quickly bonded and their music reflected their total faith in each another. But fame and wealth beyond their wildest imaginations strained their bonds to the breaking point. Their new album is a musical reunion fueled by love for music and each other. Like all families, despite rough times, there is an underlying connection that can never be completely broken.

Fleetwood Mac’s been a rock and roll phenomenon since 1975 when the members of the band first came together in Los Angeles. Together they have experienced a magical journey into rock and roll history. This amazing odyssey has been personally documented by drummer Mick Fleetwood. For the first time, Mick will open his treasure trove of home movies for VH1. The videos capture the real personalities of the band member, the rollercoaster ride to fame and fortune and the heartbreak that sometimes went with it. It’s a precious time capsule and a glimpse into the hidden world of one of the world’s hottest bands.

Flowing chiffon skirts, fringe shawls and platform boots: Stevie Nicks has become as much of a fashion icon as a musical one. She actually borrowed the gypsy style from singer Janis Joplin. We’ll hear more of Stevie’s fashion secrets as she lets VH1 into her inner sanctum: the wardrobe closet. During this rare and privileged peek at Stevie’s fashion history, she’ll tell us her favorite colors, why she wears 7 inch custom boots…and which outfit is her personal favorite. What will she be wearing on the new tour? She’ll give us a sneak preview at the clothes that are sure to make a style impression wherever she goes.

It’s been more than 20 years since the members of Fleetwood Mac recorded a new album and hit the road to support it. Now the super group has come together once more to create a brand new album and they’re bringing their energetic live show to a whole new generation of fans. We’ll take you on the road as the band preps for their opening-night show. It’s a great opportunity to talk about their other albums and other tours. Some came together smoothly; others were born of passion and conflict. But no matter what may have been going on behind the scenes, these friends managed to turn their painful personal issues into some of the most popular albums ever. This time around, the atmosphere is far from turbulent but the music still rocks, especially live in concert.

We will spend time on location shooting a “day in the life” segment with John, Mick and Lindsey. We’re there as these old friends prepare for their new tour. Lindsey will talk about the production of the new album and the challenges of touring. He should know, he’s played with some of the biggest names in rock and roll. He’ll talk about his amazing musical past, his favorite guitars and this gifted musician will also reveal some of the documentary footage he shot while the band was in the studio recording the new album.

Launching a tour is one of the most stressful times for a band, especially one that hasn’t performed together in years. The band will talk about their favorite parts of life on the road and the difficulties of touring. Fleetwood Mac will reveal what it takes to create an amazing live concert that rocks the house. Soon hundreds of thousands of people will get to experience the Fleetwood Mac “rush” first hand. A short summary/recap of what we’ve learned about Fleetwood Mac and a chance to look forward to the exciting challenges ahead.

This sounds like it will make for some great viewing... though I have a feeling that we'll all come away from it wishing it had been a little longer.

But that's what happens when you're a Mac-addict... you always want more! :D

Sorry, I know I'll get flamed for bringing up this tired old subject, but what are the odds that this closet tour reveals twenty copies of her favorite outfit, BlackDress?
I couldn't resist. (And maybe it's safe to joke about it again, since she didn't wear it in Philly.)

Thanks for posting the preview, Les.

Thanks for the update!

I have to admit that the content seems like a lot to squeeze into an hour show....it is an hour? WHile I was reading it

"visions of Dateline danced in my head"

Maybe they can get the soap opera history squeezed into 5 minutes")

BTW..does anyone else read the reviews from newspapers and skip over the soap opera history they feel compelled to tell with every single review?

I want All Access to be an ALL ACCESS.

I want to show them arguing between songs. I want to see them getting ready for a concert and them panting backstage afterwards. I want it all LOL. I also want it to be about 5 hours long.

Can't we have that?!

I always wish there was ALL ACCESS for all the tours and making of albums. I could watch 20 more hours on TUSK and I want to see some behind the scenes of that Mirage tour.

But I guess we are lucky to get what we are getting. June 16th, I hope they don't change it!

Geez,I hope they pace it right.
My friends haven't stopped teasing me about MTV Fanatic: 20 -plus minutes of Bryan Adams, followed by 7 of Stevie in a chair, with LOTS of commercial previews of her "coming right up" beforehand.

When it's done right & not TOO polished, all access stuff is fun. I love the HBO White Wing Dove concert when Stevie's carrying the stuffed animals & bumps into the camera & moans, then wanders briefly around the dressing room asking where SHE should put the stuffed animals (it's HER friggin' dressing room) until her people say just to drop them on the floor. (Who on earth could accuse her of a diva attitude?) And her saying "I can't carry that!" in reference to the velvet painting of her. Too cute.

I can't believe I forgot to check out the feet in Philly.
At least she's not wearing Converse hi-tops or Doc Martens.
I can certainly live with Reeboks when she's giving us those Stand Back spins.
Come to think of it, maybe she didn't do the Stand Back kick because she doesn't want us to focus on the absence of boots.

i think the frankenboks make it possible for her to do the standback kick.... more stability than in those boots...

also... if she wasn't wearing BlackDress in philly, what WAS she wearing? are you sure that it wasn't BlackDress with that cardigan thingy over it? cause she's been doing that lately... i think she's trying to throw us off... or maybe the holes got so big in the armpits that she decided to put the cardigan over so we couldn't see... lol

OMG, you guys are killing me with the "frankenboks" and talk about holes in ye ole' BlackDress!

My 11 year old daughter & I were in the 13th row for Continental, and we tried & tried to do a shoe check but the the speakers were in the way. My husband had absolutely NO CLUE what we were talking about, so he wasn't much of a help, even though he's taller than us!

Platform boots or platform sneaks, doesn't matter - she could perform with those funky curlers in her hair and I would still be enthralled.

She wore NewBlackDress. Tighter in the waist, shinier, lower cut, spins well. I like it, but, then, she hasn't worn it 12,000 times yet.

Yes, it really is a new dress. I don't think it has sleeves, just two wider straps over the shoulders, but she was never on stage without either the cardigan at the beginning or a number of shawls, so I couldn't really tell. However, the shawl she was wearing during Never Going Back Again seemed to be the most revealing, and to me it looked like it didn't have sleeves. The dress is cut down lower to her chest, which I definitely remember because when they were doing NGBA I kept thinking, "Stevie looks really busty in that dress!"

Yippee! Finally we have word on when this show is going to be broadcast. Yes I hope that we have more details and more solid info then just the rehashing of old news. I do remember seeing the cameras at the Columbus show but more from the back of the concert hall. Then close to the end of the show I did see them with the cameras and lights up in front of us near the front rows filming the band close up and the fans. :)
So I am looking forward to this! Thanks for the heads up Les!

Thank God for NewBlackDress! Although the average American may not notice the difference (foolish mortals!), us afficianados certainly do. NewBlackDress is far more attractive I think. She looks less like sausage. Even growing the bangs out is growing on me. And I don't know why but I still love talking about ThatDress, and will squeeze a comment about It into just about any post that I can. I am dreaming of the day, however, when I can comment on RedDress or NewGreenDress...

You know what else, I noticed from the front row that the dress isn't completely black either. There is a definate pattern on it. Sort of small dots or checks or something. Anybody else notice this? It's a definate step in the right direction. :D

I thought the same thing! Miss 55 was showing some major clevage! In fact, one of the guys by me (in a joking way that was really funny) made a cartoon characteresque noise as if his eyes were popping out his head and his tongue was rolling out to the floor when they focused in on her boobs on the tv monitors at Continental.

they're not dresses, they're all seperate tops that she keeps interchanging throughout the concert. She layers some of them and removes the layers for different songs.

The skirt is several layers of different fabrics in a handkerchief style, the different fabrics used in the skirt are all velvet burnouts and very pretty. She used the same fabric on the "infamous black dress" that she started wearing for the Enchanted tour. That was also not a dress, but layered seperates.

The little sweater that was all the talk last month is actually a rather boring blouse. The low cut top is kind of a ballet danskin type top that she wears underneath the blouse and the other little tops and shawls she layers over it.

BTW, I just heard this show is only a 1/2 hour? I'm curious to see how they're possibly going to fit all of that content into a 1/2 hour show.

no... i was in columbus as well as DC and no kick.... i'm referring to past shows.... on the tisl tour she wore the frankenboks for most shows with the exception of wearing the boots for the last 3 songs of the universal shows and maybe a few others.... and that was when she was totally into the stand back kick... i'm not sure exactly when she started it.... i think it may have been on the mini millenium tour... anybody remember it? that was also the time that she started wearing the frankenboks cause she broke her foot that week.

Are you asking when she started the kick?
Didn't she do it on the Enchanted Tour, too?

I'm just sitting here LMAO=:-)

Poor Stevie:laugh: We ladies get old after awhile y'know. Not easy on us at all. My guess is that Stevie thinks she looks slimmer in black, and she's wearing the shoes she's wearing because of her hip=:-)Also she's blonde;) and black looks good on blondes...
I think Stevie looks pretty great-you'd never guess she turned 55 on Monday I think it was-whenever the 26th was..unless you knew..

The kick definitely started at least around the Enchanted tour because she did it on storytellers and does it on an Enchanted tour tape I have. I don't know if she did it before that. The reason she doesn't do the kick now is because FM doesn't go into that extra part she added at the end (which started I believe during Timespace).

My favorite Stevie kick was the Gold & Braid kick from the HBO special. Now those were the kicks heard 'round the world. Stevie bass player, Bob Glaub is laughing in amazement at them.

I'd think your best bet would be eBay. I'm pretty sure it's out of print, and when I used to use eBay I always saw it on there...sometimes even described as "never opened."

Go to the above link.
The video ships from Amazon in 1-2 days, it says.
It's called Stevie Nicks in Concert. HBO is not in the name, so maybe that's why you couldn't find it.
Amazon reviews give it 5 stars.
DEFINITELY worth the money!
