Number of members on Mick's board

Has anyone else noticed that this number never goes down? Despite people being banned and deleting their profile? I know of a few people who have done that in the last few days and the number hasn't gone down

I like how they know how to "fix" that but when the debate was up about "how many were happy/not happy", Neil had politely suggested they do a poll and he told them politely how to put up a poll option on that kind of board (since his site uses the same kind of thing) but it was (apparently) ignored like everything else. Whatever. :)

Pip, I wouldnt trust their numbers for anything. They are greasing everyone, its pretty obvious, and who knows what they are manipulating, you know?

You can imagine Todd justifying the complaints by saying it is just a small group of people and that they have over 3000 people on the board. It's a joke really

I guess you would have had to believe the number to begin with, which I never did.

Same as when the fanclub opened and people were posting "I'm #842" "I was 1169" ...one word...sure.

Well, we know that he can manipulate the number of posts that show under your name and your stars, so it stands to reason that he can manipulate that as well... He has to maintain his image, but, he just doesn't realize what it is. Poor dude...makes him look so foolish imo.

I haven't trusted anything on that board in quite awhile, for obvious reasons.

This self-serving idiot will manipulate anything to cover his ass or put $$ in his pocket.

I have no respect for the man or anything that he is in control of. That is why I deleted my profile and will no longer post on that board.

That email about Pip was the last straw, IMO.

so why don't you just ban it yourself and never go there?

You make valid points Tommer, but in Pip's defense...
Some people aren't of the character to sit back and be walked over - I personally feel with Todd's enterprise that the name of Fleetwood Mac is being walked over (on the way to the bank) and any member of the collective fanbase has a right to voice their active opposition (especially such a dedicatedly active fan as Pip). If you're in a position where you are able to ignore the shenangians that is good for you (damn sarcasm - this is meant not to be sarcastic ok!) but don't forget that some believe the greatest evil is to be passive in the face of other evil (yes - Gandhi's theory it isn't! Jane Elliot: To sit back and do nothing is to cooperate.)
Some people haven't been as directly affected by Jonathon Todd, Sabremark, Mick's Chat, the Fan Club, as others have.

I wrote a massive reply to Pip's "revealed email" thread early in the piece but the browser chewed it up before I could post it, and damned if I could be bothered trying to muster up that same eloquence and passion again, but suffice to say that while I agree it is fine for a class of fans to be happy with joining the fan club and whatever else JT offers them, he is riding on the back of what is, firstly, Lindsey and Stevie's creativity and personalities, and secondly, the same two things but in terms of what meaning it has for us legion fans. And thus far, JT and Mick's financial goals - which I view as secondary to the CD and concert and what revenue rightly flows from that - have not justified the means of overinflatory invitations to treat, farcically low standards of product, and continuingly nauseatingly poor PR and accountability, particularly with demonstrated and established online fans.

I'd be happy to turn my back on Todd, but it's hard to for the degree he has parasitcally latched himself to the FM unit on all its commercial and "fan" aspects. Indeed for this reason some have seen fit to all but turn their back on the tainted FM.
I would be much happier to see him disassociated from the band. Power to Pip!

i'm with you on this one, but i believe bitching about their board was proven to be pointless, the way to raise attention to the Toad mess MUST go thru the media, it's basically very simple, all you need is 2 people handing a few hundred leaflets pointing out all his wrong doings outside the next major-market concert venue, and that's about it.
will FM recieve some bad press? sure. but i'm afraid the fact that they are held responsible for all this mess is unquestionable, and whoever baked this ****-cake has to eat at least some of it.

I agree Tommer... the bitching can seem pointless apart from maybe getting the point across to other fans who aren't aware of what is happening. Some seem to be ignore the mounting evidence against this guy. You could argue that is their loss but unfortunately that board is where a lot of new fans will be visiting
and we need to get the message across to them

I couldn't think of where to stick this so it's going here.

As of this morning 99 people have entered to win one of those 20 poster flats signed by Mick. What's so interesting and telling is...47 are people with less than 10 posts...most of the 47 have either 1, 2 or under 5 posts. Almost 50% responded to the email to the site members. So, if there are over 3,000 Mick's Chat members...I'd say that's a rather rotten return. If there aren't, it's just another lie. Isn't there a Lindsey lyric that would work here!

The good news is, if you're interested in a Mick Fleetwood autographed poster flat, they're giving away 20 of them so you stand a decent shot at it.

I wonder what happened to the MAC FACTS contest for that Egyptian Jewelry....wasn't that due last week or the week before? I had my heart set on winning something! Do you suppose someone has put the kabosh on it?
