You know, lines that aren't words.
Here are mine:
Stevie's live Mirage SOTM - I don't even know how to type the line here.
The do-do-do-do after the first few lines of Gypsy
The chorus of Second Hand News
The la la las in Stand Back and Illume
The sha la las in Brown Eyes
Did I forget any?

Ah, the beauty of THAT is that you can spell it ANY WAY YOU WANT!! LOL
EWQREWQRG A FDSA REWQRGFD GFDGDFGDS is close or
TREWER HFFDSDFGFBBCXC REWRDSF VDS FAFDSA FS is another good way to spell it.
Gotta love the bam-bam's in SHN
What about the "bah do dah, do dah da do da do" in Bare Trees?
There's also the la-la's in When You Say.

I love the way these "words" complement the guitar in this song.

Lindsey's vocal ad libs in Second Hand News would be one. Whatever Stevie says during No Spoken Word in the Red Rocks video is another.

Lindsey's Peacekeeper chicken squawk!!! LOL!!! I LOVE IT!!! Stevie's SOTM exercism or whatever the hell you want to call that...I laugh my ass off everytime I watch it

For me, there was nothing outstanding about this song or Outside the Rain until I saw the passion and spontaneity of live versions. The lines near the end of OTR about Mick were incomprehensible the first time I heard them.
Also, if it's not jibberish, then the word "well" must qualify at least as the most overused Jibberishesque language in Stevie's lyrics, especially in the years of RAL thru No Questions Asked.

I miss these spontaneous ramblings! I think Stevie must avoid them so new drug rumors about her don't start.

LOL---I don't know about avoiding them...I think she doesn't do them anymore because she is coherent at all times now

I REALLY like the end of What's the World Coming to with Stevie doing the "da da dada" part while Lindsey just belts, "Uh huh, Uh huh, UH HUUUUUUUUUH, AAAAAAAAAH, ah ah ah, ah ah ah!" I love the "Ah" part that Stevie does at the end of Gypsy. Not to mention, "AAAAAAAAAH!" in Edge of Seventeen. I'm determined to find out what Stevie is saying during No Spoken Word on Red Rocks...I've figured out everything that she jabbers on there except this. I know it goes "well i cannot (blah blah blah) from a book!" And oh yeah, I forgot about the, "if you know tell her, tell her now, AAAAAAAAAAAAH!" in Beauty and the Beast live, and of course the SOTM jibberish.

Not really "jibberish", I don't guess, LOL...but I loooove the "well, yeah, ooh, ha, well, uh huh, oh, pale, yeah ah, ha haaaaa" of the Japan "Gold Dust Woman".
On second thought, maybe it IS jibberish. LOL!

Brothers, Sisters
These ramblings or jibberish are what is commonly mistaken for Stevie's invocations or incantations, a conjuring of the spirits that one does in music as is cleary evident in Sisters of the Moon. Stevie is chanting, a result of what is a high moment in her live shows especially.
If one can understand what it is like to experience being on a stage performing for thousands of people and the energy level that builds. All of that energy is focused on you and you alone, you become a conductor for this energy at some climatic point as in Stevie live performances she is found chanting, simply, and honestly and not to us who listen, but to the Muses who've allowed her to tap into their energy and write those songs.
The greatest chanted songs of all:
1. Rhiannon
2. Gold Dust Woman
3. Sisters of the Moon
Life, Love, Magick~

I think its something about learning from the pages of a book. I remember reading a stevie FAQ on some website and that was one the questions. And I just LOVE that live version of Beauty and the Beast....there is so much emotion in it...and I love those AAAAAAAHH's in it.....over all, Red Rocks kicks...except for the really corny fake close-up shots :D

SOTM from Mirage and the chorus of Second Hand News.
I also have an outtake of Gold Dust Woman from the Rumours sessions where Stevie ooooohhhhs and aaahhhhhhs for at least the last minute of the song. I really love that version. Very dark.

I just LOVE that coked up rant, chant, encantation, whatever from her on the Mirage era SOTM video. I also love how she punctuates it immediately afterward with her panty revealing spin during when she lists if not stumbles. I love her when she does things like that. And, although I am glad she is off of the drugs, I do miss the days when she would just get up on it and "sing" like that. :]
I also love in No Spoken Word on the RAL video when she ways "I don't know how to learn from the page of your %&$&#(Q$^(*)@Q#%^(_*^_(*%^@# book!"
Finally, the scream in GDW on The Dance video is pretty much perfection for Stevie ranting :]

Stevie's early on cover of Tom Petty's song "I Need To Know" and she would wail "something!" It was, "Take your violot and blue mornings with you!" Great line, great wail. I love it! :)

Wow.
I really like Sisters Of The Moon Mirage Live, it's really energetic. You hear the TUSK recording, then you hear that, you never want to listen to the studio recording again.
Does anyone think they know what she is saying.

THAT'S a good one! I vote for the Mirage SOTM too, I just dig that whole performance, from the very beginning to the very end!! And I love the part where she's crying and shaking hands with people and saying, "I know...I know..." Is that her response to people yelling "I love you, Stevie!?"
I have a bootleg called "Who's the New Girl?" that I got on Ebay...it's right when SN and LB joined the band, they were still doing Green Manalishi. Stevie does a LOT of incoherent wailing on that track, it's both hilarious and brilliant!

Listen to the guitar part after the Murrow turning over in his grave parts.. where the guitar comes in. He sings along with the chicka chicka bow bow. You may have to run it through a couple different channels to hear it.. I think it's on the right.

I must watch Red Rocks again soon. You guys have inspired me.
If we're including solo, I have to put in for the do-do-do do-do-dos with the piano in Nightbird. I love those.
BTW, did anybody else tape the Downtown Live ABC piece on Stevie on the Friday night before 9/11? There's footage from some song, & I don't recognize it. Stevie has her arms/elbows up & she's singing "aah haaah haaaah aaaah haaaah aaaaah haaaa, oooooh hoooo hoooooo", if I remember correctly. What's that from?

I used to call it the gobledy gook line. I love it though. Another fave from that video is wah ah ah in Stand Back. Who else do you know that could make wah ah ah work. And the head bang part in the begining. What did she say?

This isn't really jibberish, but i love all the different harmonies in "Honey Hi" and how it sounds like the three different harmonizers are calling and answering to each other. I second those who mentioned the live freak out SOTM and Rhiannon. I also like all the little tag lines that fade out some of Stevie's songs like in Sara when she sings, "...and not all the prayers in the world could save us" and SOTM "...so we make our choices when there is no choice etc..." Love that.

I love the "Awwwh awwwwh well I thought that you were mine" in Welcome to the Room Sara.
I love the "Mmmmmm...sanctuary, was mine alone" in the second verse of Sanctuary.
I love the layered "oooooh....burning....burning" in my favorite version of Lady from the Mountain.

I know - I could swear I hear a similar expression with F*CK clearly in it. But, I it really is not like ole Stevie to curse on stage, although she clearly has done it when provoked a la the live statment that is floating around that goes something like "If you f*ck with my people, I'm gonna get really pissed." But, that is the only instance I can think of and, again, she was provoked.
