My friend and I are thinking about going to NYC for the long weekend.
I really want to go to the show on Sunday. Is anyone else here planning on going?
I don't have tickets yet. I need to find out for sure if we are going to NYC and if she wants to go see the show.
I was just wondering if anyone would happen to know the cost of a cab or car service from NYC to the Meadowlands?
We don't have a car and we don't want to take the bus or train.

Ironically I am listening to an AOL station that is now playing Ace Frehley "Back in the New York Groove"

I'll be at the show on Sunday! It might just be the only show I get to.. I was supposed to go to the Friday night show too, but the post office can't seem to find my package with my ticket inside.. stupid post office. Hopefully they will find it and I will be able to go to both.. or maybe there will still be seats available for the Friday night show on ticketmaster.

I don't know exactly how much a cab or car service will charge for the ride.. but I can't imagine it will be cheap. Good luck if you decide on going to the show. :)

:) Michelle

I will be there! I imagine it will be $40.00+ to get a car service from the city to East Rutherford.

I live in Manhattan. 2 of the most reliable car services are Carmel 212-666-6666 or Tel Aviv 212-777-7777. If you don't mind the bus, the Port Authority has buses going to the Meadowlands from 42nd St. and 8th Av. terminal and bringing you back again for $7. I don't like buses either but I used it last autumn and it was fine. Plus the bus will be full of Stevie fans going to and from the show!

I have a ticket for the Nassau Coliseum show but I have no way to get to the venue. I'm trying to sell my ticket, if you want it please let me know. I'll sell it for below cost. 19th row. Email me at [email protected]

Thanks for the info. Do you know what time the buses stop running from the Meadowlands to NYC? We don't mind the bus I just don't want to miss it and get stuck in NJ.
A bus full of fans sounds like a fun idea.:D

Sorry, I won't be going to the Nassau show. I will be leaving RI either that night or Saturday morning.
Even if I don't go to NY I will be going to the 2 Worcester shows on the 27 and 28.

Sorry, Pattie, I don't know what time the last bus leaves the Meadowlands. If you manage to get out of the venue and into the parking lot within a half hour or 45 minutes after the show, there should still be buses there. I remember I didn't rush out of there last time I used their bus, and I had no problem.

Sorry Bob,

We just brought our tickets. Had this board been up I would have seen your post. Well we are going to NYC and we have Section 110 row 18!!!

Not too bad.:D

We just need to get our bus tickets to NYC and arrange transportation to the arena.

Let me know if we are all going to meet someplace near the arena before the show.

I'll be there Sunday - section 8, row M. Do they start the numbering at row A? If so, then we are row 13! Look for my 11 year old wearing a tie-dye Stevie tour shirt singing her little heart out. :D

Re: transportation to the Meadowlands - You can get there by bus without a problem using NJ Transit #164 from the Port Authority bus terminal. Problem is going back, where the last bus on a Sunday from the Meadowlands leaves at 10:08 p.m. Perhaps bus it in & cab it back? Here is the link for the bus schedule: http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T1148.pdf

Can't wait!!

Thanks Eileen!!

I think that just what we will do. Take the bus up and cab or car service back. I hate to rush after the show.

Hi Everyone, I'll be at the Sunday show myself...I've been very patient about buying these tickets (I learned from the tips here on the Ledge but boy did it require patience) and scored two decent hopefully good tickets yesterday through Ticketmaster which will be at least the best I've ever had, they are not nosebleed!!!

Pattie, good luck with the commute...are people going to be wearing their Ledgies badgies from TISL??? I still have my old one!!! so look for me :)

My question is regarding parking, what are the prices?? and where is the best place to park??

>>My question is regarding parking, what are the prices?? and where is the best place to park??<<

I was at the Meadowlands in the fall for Elton John/Billy Joel, and was charged $10 to park at the complex parking lot. There really isn't anywhere else to park there, so basically they get ya!
 Really p*sses me off, though, because we're paying so much for tickets....grrrr

omg Joe!! how did you do with the final bid??? I just kept watching FM tickets go up and up and up on ebay including tickets like the ones I actually purchased direct from ticketmaster. I made the mistake of showing my hubby how much tickets like ours are going for on ebay and now he wants to sell my tickets (being a guy, he's into major teasing)...

glad to know I won't be the only commuter from upstate, well at least it's not PNC :wavey:

FYI!! WPDH is having a free tickets phone contest to Nassau each morning this week...
