Hey Alison,
No you don't have to be a member of the fanclub to see it. Just head on over to www.fleetwoodmac.com and it will play when you enter the site! Dan Edit: Hmm that's wierd that it's showing you the same old one....I don't know what to tell you sorry.. Maybe keep trying?

And I love that reverb part where Linsdey's sings...we should be together......together....(echo),,,this is fantastic.....this arrangement is so much more timeless ....like classic Fleetwood Mac heres hoping this is the final version....or a preview of it!!! And Stevie VOICE...accapella...AMAZING!!... for a those of who are trepidatious about "Smile At You" at this stage ...should rest assured.. YEAH!!! i'm soooo excited now Last edited by Christopher; 03-04-2003 at 11:06 PM.. |

Nice opening page to the new official site. I hope the redesign of the rest isn't too far behind.

WOW. That was amazing to see and hear. Let's all remember...the recording process is long and tedious, with many overlays and tinkering. What we heard was a song in the process of being created. By no means shall we judge or assume that this is the "version" that will be on the album. Obviously what we saw and heard was a work in progress. From that perpsective, it seems misguided to assume that this is what the song will sound like!!!

I'm with PenguinHead on this - whilst Stevie sounds great, her phrasing indicates that this was an early attempt at a lead vocal and the instrumentation we can hear sounds like a very rough draft, not a finished track. I certainly hope those rank "we should be together" backing vocals are eradicated from the final mix - tacky! I'm desperately hoping that the leaked version is a closer approximation of the final mix.

I think this vocal or one like it is in the mix of the song I heard. Its just the low harmony of it. Stevie usually layers her vocals in different notes of the harmony. But, the song sounds faster and different.

Just to let you know...Stevie is singing in a higher key on the website version of Thrown Down then the one I have (actually the whole song is in a different key) ....the higher she sings ...the more I like it.
