Default "c'mon, c'mon"

Hey you guys! Have any of you gone out and snagged a copy of Sheryl Crow's new album?

I absolutely love it!!! The two tracks featuring Stevie (c'mon, c'mon and Diamond Road) are fantastic! If you don't have a copy, RUN now and get it. It is well worth the money.

Even if you have never been a Sheryl Crow fan in the past, you may find yourself converted!!!! You know, Stevie doesn't hang around or work with any slackers!!!!!

I have to agree with you Brandy. I am not as big of a Sheryl fan as I am of Stevie, but I do frequent the forum every day. I was very anxious to hear Sheryl's new cd and bought it the day it was released. Needless to say, I cannot stop listening to it.. so much so that I find myself singing the songs in my head all day long. C'mon C'mon is one of my favorites.. as is Diamond Road.. and not just because Stevie is on them! It is a great CD and I would recommend it to anyone.

I LOVE this album, "C'mon, C'mon" has been on repeat for a while. I just cant get enough of this song, and Stevie's harmonies are amazing. I love the song "Diamond road", but I can't hear Stevie singing can any of you?

Default Sometimes...

I think I hear her. Very faintly. Sometimes I don't think I hear her at all. It is a great song, the melody is really lovely.

Thumbs up

Well since Sulamith already lured me out of lurker status on another thread, I guess I'll go ahead throw my two cents in on this - I absolutely love Sheryl Crow's new CD! I have been wearing it out! The sound caught me off guard at first because it's so different from her other cd's. "Sheryl Crow" and "The Globe Sessions" are both so dark and depressing to me and I love both of them. I just expected this cd to be dark and depressing too. Not that this cd is a happy skip through the park but it's not as dark as I expected.

The only song on it I'm not crazy about is "It's So Easy". It reminds me too much of that song Don Henley did with Patti Smythe (or whatever her name was. She use to be in Scandel and I think she's married to John McEnroe). Sometimes Love Ain't Enough or something like that. Is it just me or is it the older Don Henley gets, the mush-y-er he sounds? Don't get me wrong, I love Don Henley. I've been a big fan for years. I once stood in a line outside, in sub-freezing temperatures, for 2 or 3 hours, just to get his autograph and shake his hand. It's just the last few new songs I've heard him on, either solo or with someone, are kind of mush-y sounding. Just an observation. Back to Sheryl.

I'm not even sure I could choose a favorite on this cd. I love Steve McQueen, C'mon, C'mon (You took the best of me and threw it away, too bad the rest of me still wants you stay....very cool!), Soak Up The Sun, Diamond Road, Over You. I've been playing Over You in my head all day today. I love Safe and Sound. Such a dramatic, intense song. I love her vocals on it, especially that primal, heartwrenching scream near the end. I like Lucky Kid, Abilene and Hole In My Pocket too. You're An Original is funky but I haven't connected with it yet. I'm still occasionally skipping it. I've read alot of posts that aren't in favor of "Weather Channel" but I like it. It's the dark, depressing Sheryl sound I was expecting. It's not a song I want to listen to over and over but I like the drama and emotion in it.

Well that's my review for what it's worth. If you don't have it do yourself a favor and get it! I really don't think you'll be sorry!
