I remember both. I think she came around. And since she couldn't vote anyway, she waffled.

Besides her 1995 comment "would have never voted for him", she also declined Hillary Clinton's request to visit the White House and perform Don't Stop one more time for Bill in 2000. I know she was retired by then but not many decline White House offers. Even in 1993 they never were invited to the White House and never got to spend time with the president. I dont think she was being overly political in all of these situations though. The most telling about her and John's political beliefs was the E.T. backstage interviews during the Dance rehearsals in 1997. Tony Blair and Labour had just come into power and was good friends with Bill Clinton. The interviewer was asking them about the inaugural and such and why and how it came about. Then he asked "would you do something like this in the UK perhaps if Tony Blair asked you." Chris's eyes bugged out of her head and she says, we would never do anything like that for Labour. I think John took offense to the question too. It was just a light hearted curious question but their reaction was so stern.

I should have put a winking emoji at the end of my comment. There are plenty of articles online that suggest 2006 in Los Angeles as the time and place he became a US citizen. One states November 22 but as for direct proof... I could hae sworn I had listened to an interview with him or read a reliable atircle in which he was directly quoted re this, but I can't find it. I don't trust wikipidea though- it states he became a citizen in 2006 but then gives as a source his first autobiography written in 1990... so that doesn't follow.

There was a NicksFix q and a or faq with John Kinney where he said Stevie was Republican or leaned Republican. But because she’s a Republican doesn’t mean she supports Trump. I doubt John or Christine supported Trump even though they are conservative. Rick Vito did.
I’d say recently, Lindsey’s the most liberal. The RNC had to get a cover band LOL |

Are you forgetting Stevie pretty much endorsed Hillary and told everyone she was going to win a Landslide and she would sing that song at her inauguration....or something along those lines. Today everyone is so tribal so many identify themselves with a political party. Just in my lifetime the parties have completely switched. I am from Appalachia and in the 1980s we were one of the few places in the country that despised Reagan. We never saw the appeal in him. Today, Trump's biggest support comes from that region. If you look at all the counties that voted for Mondale/Ferraro in 1984 are Trump's most successful counties. Planned Parenthood was started by Republicans and today they want to shut it down and democrats are their supporters now. In the 70s and 80s, republicans were wealthy, college educated suburban. Today college educated wealthy people tend to vote democrat. Democrats were the non-college educated party. Today that is Trump's biggest group. In the 70s and 80s West Virginia was the most democrat state. It was one of the few states that Dukakis won in 1988. Today its all republican and Trump wins by 30 points.

I feel like someone here said Stevie had never voted before until 2016 when she voted for Hilary Clinton, but I could be misremembering. Plus I don’t know how they would know that unless she said it in an interview. |

Instead of the Lincoln Project clutching their pearls blabbing on and on about the GOP rot, I wish they’d do something more effective, like form a new party for conservatives committed to American democracy, something like the Conservative Party of America.

How about the party against a United States theocracy? That might help.
