I remember seeing them at Red Rocks in '87-'88. It was quite the show, Hysteria if you will.

Does it ever hit anyone between the eyes that she has had a dual career for almost 40 years, and is one of the only women who can sell out arenas by herself. She was the only female who had a number #1 album in the 1980's with a Group (Mirage) and solo (Bella Donna). No other female has managed to do what she has done with her level of success.

A co-write nevertheless. Stevie had 4 top ten (US) solo singles... and half of those weren't written by her.

On another note, I cant believe neither Roxy Music, nor Radiohead are in the top 5 of the public vote. Wow.

His career happened after the Beatles ended. So did Tina Turners. What Stevie did was totally unique and groundbreaking.

Ringo is a joke. I think you like him because you’re European. She is a unique totally performer and deserves to be recognized.

I'm counting 7 top 10's not including FM.
You counted wrong. Edge of Seventeen, I Can't Wait, and Rooms on Fire aren't top 10 singles. Stevie only has 4 top 10's solo, as posted above. Two of those are written by somebody else.

Not that it really matters, she's done enough to get in.

There's a whole big world out there outside the US of A. Check it out some time.
For what its worth I'm a Beatles fan, but I couldn't really give two sh!ts about Ringo Starr (no offence Ringo, old boy).

Ok so I guess you guys are saying you don’t want her in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist. That’s what this bitching and moaning is about

I'm not against her being in the Hall of Fame (as I said, the whole thing is a joke anyway). I'm just being objective. Are there other artists already in there that don't deserve to be ahead of her? Absolutely. Do I think she deserves on merit to be ahead of several of this years' eligible acts? No. But I think she's close, so if not this year then maybe next. I think her cultural influence is more significant than her actual body of work though.

Perhaps some people are a bit perplexed that you in particular are her cheerleader for this endeavor since you had completely relinquished your fandom on this board

I don’t think she is going to get another chance. I think this is it.

Probably not after her shenanigans after Musicares and breaking up the band that she always swore that she would never be the one to break up.
