I'm guessing he stopped, then fell off the wagon again at some point.

i think just Stevie is making Christine her little pawn, as of right now. i wish Lindsey would, instead. but he doesn't seem to have it in him.

Somehow, I imagine Stevie and Lindsey playing tug-of-war, with Christine as the rope.

but if that's so, Lindsey is stupid to not just pull Christine onboard and forget about Stevie. he'll have that album out in no time if Christine is willing.

or maybe Stevie knows that and is trying to keep Christine as far as possible from Lindsey in the private life too, the same as she tried to do it on the stage yesterday...
Yeah, that's it.

I've wished this about recording for years. At one point, I thought Mick was onboard and would help with my little fantasy plot to get an FM album out. If Christine is recording, Stevie WILL record. Even if no one wanted her to record, she'd insist upon it. Why doesn't Lindsey use this?

With Christine popping out on a couple shows.

I hope there are little talks to Christine to step out of retirement and just to record with FM as a 5 unit band again.

So its up to Stevie to be the boss to decide to record.

Maybe she can say "No Christine " NO RECORD" to WB.

Stevie was so enamored with the process of recording with Dave Stewart that she wants to re-create that experience with another solo project. She is not excited about recording with FM. I don't think Christine changes that. It is still about the battle of wills between Stevie and Lindsey.

WB is not interested in a FM album without Stevie. She holds all the cards and LB knows it.

For me, it does. Christine provides a buffer between her and Lindsey, which would make it more tolerable at least.

Not in a studio setting. On tour, yes. Stevie wants to record like she did with Dave and that will not happen with Lindsey.

I don't think Stevie and Lindsey would fight less if Stevie recorded with them, but I definitely think it would change Stevie's interest in recording. It would make doing so worth the battle for her. Also, she'd feel locked in in a way she doesn't now. It's like in 1977 when she says that despite the separations, no one was about to leave the band. It would be the same way if Christine recorded, Stevie wouldn't think of not doing it.

Doesn't mean things would go smoothly with Lindsey, though, but no one would walk away from the battle. Right now, she's willing just to avoid it altogether and say, "life is too short." And I don't think she's wrong. If she doesn't want to record with him that's fine. Christine is another possible option to get an FM album recorded though. Michele

I would love a full band FM album. But if CM doesn't want to tour, what is the point (from SN point of view) to do a record? There is no money in it for her; no payoff. She can spend the time on her songs, her record and go tour and make the same amount of money. This is how she sees it.

frankly, i'd rather they put out an album with Christine than with Stevie. and not on WB. also, i'm surprised that WB is interested in any FM album.
