David, I googled the name Christie Alsbury that you provided, and it led me to the myspace of this guy Reedo Reed, who had some stories about the band. I posted them in the Rumours section.

You are probably right about the event but it's definitely 1990 not 1991, without a shadow of a doubt. I know this for a fact because in 1990 I was doing work experience at the now defunct magazine Record Mirror (which twice interviewed Stevie btw) and while I was there that photo came in. I remember this clear as day because I really wanted to keep the photo
