What really intrigues me is how the band sounded in concert between 1970-1974. With all the shows I have from 1975 onward, I have very little from those years. Can anyone post what album tracks they played during those times? It would be very interesting to know.
I have the full "Bermuda Triangle" show in LA 1974 and part of an abysmal show during the Kiln House era, with Christine McVie! But that's all. I recall seeing a trader who had a Bare Trees show and a few others. Does anyone know who that is?

I have only 2 bootleg CDs from this time period, the Heroes lineup-Sausalito, CA & Hempstead, NY. I think the Sausalito CD may be the same as the Bermuda Triangle CD, but I'm not sure. Both have a great mix of Bob Welch era songs & Peter Green era songs. I believe both are studio rehearsal like recordings rather than actual live shows though. Both are soundboards. I got these CDs from 2 traders, both of whom are no longer trading. I WISH I had more, especially live Bare Trees & Mystery to Me shows. Even more, I really wish there would be some sort of officially released live recordings from this time period. I am not very optimistic about this, but I can hope.

In my 36 years of Fleetwood Mac fandom...and the 30 years since Bare Trees was released, other than the two very bad sound quality songs from the Kiln House tour ("Station Man" & "Tell Me All The Things You Do") on side two of the Merely A Portmanteau bootleg LP, I haven't found any live recordings from the incarnations between the 1970 Boston Tea Party set and the 1974 recordings. That really is the "Mystery" era of live Fleetwood Mac. I would really love to hear how Bob & Danny sounded together live, what their set was comprised of, etc, etc.
In his Q&A here, Bob Welch mentioned he had some recordings of the Future Games/Bare Trees era band live...wish he would leak those performances to us fans. |

Hey! Thanks for replying. Yes, I'm sure that the Sausilito and Bermuda Triangle shows are one and the same. On the Bermuda Triangle CD, Bob Welch actually mentions that they are in a studio in Sausilito. I also have an vinyl album of that performance which includes a few more tracks...if I can remember correctly...Oh Well, Black Magical Woman and a jam.
It's nice to know there are other fans out there interested in this period of the band, and are as intrigued as I am about hearing how they sounded live. It's a mysterious missing link...considering all the live stuff out there from the Blues and Rumours eras of the band. I know I've seen a trade list with a couple of shows...if I find and obtain them...I'll be sure to share with you!

Hopefully, Bob will come to his senses and release that material!! SHARE BOB SHARE!! LOL |

I know Andrea (fmfanatic) used to have some BT era stuff but I don't think she trades anymore unfortunately so I don't know if that's of any help to anyone or not but at least it's SOMETHING in this area that needs attention but rarely gets any.
Maybe those of you interested could e mail her to ask where she got her copies of those shows and then if you get it from where ever she got them from, then at least you'd save a generation on the copy you'd get (if you could work out something with the "original" trader if they're still around). ![]() John |

I have the following reel-to-reel radio broadcast, excellent stereo, from Seattle's Paramount Theater, March 1972. My only CD burner is in my PC and don't know how to dump the analog audio to PC (can anybody help me here?). Can make mini-discs though. Is there any way I could send this to someone who could put it up on the web for free downloads?

I'm sure your title corrections are right. I'm reading them off an old penciled note in the reel box, which I shouldn't have trusted. Thanks. Other readers...go with these corrections.

Bob Welch handled most of the Peter Green vocals. Danny did do the vocals for "Black Magic Woman" though.
