So, has anyone read the book Wicked, OR seen the play on Broadway??

I'm currently reading the book and am completely fascinated!!!

Unfortunately, I missed it when I was last in NYC. It was then, however, the hardest to get ticket in town. Maybe next time

I read the book a few years ago when it came out. It was very interesting. A lot of political undertones. Today I was in Barnes and Noble and they have the soundtrack to the musical, so I listened to the samples of it. I must say that it sounds completely ridiculous. The book dealt with some serious issues, and the soundtrack to the musical had numbers that you'd expect to hear in "Grease". I have heard it's gotten good reviews though, so who knows.
