Excellent, enjoyable song!

Certainly can hear a bit of Greeny influence there, but guitar playing aside, it could almost have been a song off of a Brunning Sunflower/De Luxe Blues Band album.

Buying the Brunning Sunflower Blues Band and De Luxe Blues Band (both Bob Brunning bands) stuff is hard to do and in some cases near on impossible. A few of them are still floating around, and you may be able to still pick up a couple of albums from online retailers.

Failing that try my blog... http://fleetwoodmacmusic.blogspot.com/

Start with Brunning Sunflower or Tramp (which included Danny Kirwan and Mick Fleetwood) and work forwards to DLBB. Trackside Blues or Bullen Street Blues from Brunning Sunflower are the best place to begin in my opinion.

Once you start digging though this old stuff though it is a never ending quest!

Default i wish i could hear you

Dear Greenmanastrat

I tied to log on to the site a few times
I even put tin a profile with a song up so that maybe it would allow me to hear you
I was unable to however. there is something jamming me in my cookie permissions or something.

Oh well
I am sure you can record good sound from your guitar through the sound card
If you have a PC Guitar Studio by Cakewalk is a good entry point in home recordings. included is many effects and guitar and amplifier simulations to get almost any sound. Good luck

Meanwhile I will keep trying to get some sound out of that web site

Thank you for taking the time to try, what i can do if you like is email you an mp3 of the recording, Im really confident if you like peter green you will like this. Its not perfect of course but its quite raw and from the heart .
Maybe if i set up a myspace that would work, i want people to hear it

Yes i wrote and played it all. Has, i think a nice variation on your regular minor blues little bit of movement but still the blues of course.

I'm so sorry, I did listen to your track when you posted it, but I was just on my way to work and didn't have a chance to comment (and promptly forgot about commenting).

Personally I prefer "My Blues For You" rather than "Today", perhaps because it is more my kind of blues (did you ever manage to listen to any of that Brunning stuff?).

Great instrumental Sálrite by the way.

Cheers dude, think today is for the ladies nice solo at the end though if you get that far hehe.

Yep i´ve heard ride with your daddy by the Brunning with greeny singing its has now become an altime fav already.
Greeny is always lauded and rightly so for his guitar playing but i think you´ve touched on this yourslef Chriskisn, that he´s an incredible singer. His voice is lovely, right balance of power and emotion i think he´s my fav singer as well as my fav blues guitar player
