Greeny "disallowed" on Dimeadozen
I guess most of you are familiar with the torrent site dimeadozen.org
As of today uploading Peter Green concerts is not allowed on the site following a letter from some lawyer regarding copyright infringement. Fleetwood Mac concerts seems to still be allowed, though. Sad, as live concerts surely do not affect record sales in any way. |

Showbizz Blues
I think Peter Green has a lawyer - Kathy Fehler - that specializes in copyright and show-bizz stuff (potentially showbizz Blues ) and she watches over all these activities like a hawk. Things that were posted on YouTube earlier has also - unfortunately - disappeared over time. It's a pity especially if it does not affect record sales. It might even make PG more known to people who has not discovered him yet.
But I think PG has had a lot of hassle (and chaos) earlier on over things like this, so in that sense it is good that someone with a pitt-bull terrier attitude to copyright issues are watching over him - on the other hand it's bad for all the devoted PG fans who unfortunately can't be at the very very few concerts. It might also be a hint that they are planning an official concert cd - or maybe it's just wishfull thinking Ms Moose |

Then again, one wonders how much input into this that Peter would have. I would suspect Peter has very little control... |

So money does not enter the equation, unless a live album is planned of the uploaded material, as per Ms Moose's theory. Ilegally downloading officially released material is another thing. I detest it, personally. Youtube
I've noticed all the 1968 French TV performances are gone, as well as the Oslo Norway "Rattlesnake Shake", and "Man of the World".
I went back and re-watched "Let It Be" just in case that was coming soon because this appears to be a wide spread assault on Youtube. |
