Would it be too much to hope that this sells so well they finally get off their asses and give us remasters of Mirage and TITN???

Speaking of Mirage, does anyone know about
the Anderson Exclusive Edition?

On edit...
I guess it has to do with Robin Anderson. With some exclusive
photos. I'd never heard of this before tonight.

Where did you hear about that?

From time to time I'm in contact with some people
at WB. And I inquired about Fleetwood Mac and was
sent a list. As I was going over it last night I noticed
the Anderson Exclusive.

I mistakenly wrote that it was Mirage. It happens
to be Tango In The Night. I looked over the details
and can't find anything different about it. I thought it might
be vinyl but it says CD. The UPC code is 075992547123.

Default The Chain boxset rerelease

The original 4CD box has been re-released here in the UK at £13 per copy.

Is this a post-BW knee-jerk tribute or had it been planned for some time?

As I already have all the unique tracks from the 2CD, are there any sleevenotes unique to the 4CD?

I wonder if the listing for Make Me A Mask was corrected in the book notes which mistakenly listed it as a Mirage outtake.

Not a reaction to Bob's passing. Simply the record company cashing in on it being Fathers Day this weekend. There's quite a few other similar style releases over here this week, a Thin Lizzy 6cd boxset, The Old Grey Whistle Test (BBC TV Series) 3cd set with live recordings from the 70's/80's.

The record companies have got smart to this being a big week for releasing cd's for the Fathers Day market. A few years ago they re-released the Travelling Wilburys set on the same day and it was top of the charts for a while.

The main high street music retailer, HMV, has The Chain 4cd reissue up on a big "presents for Fathers Day" display as soon as you enter the store. £13 being a great price for a 4cd boxset, even if it is 20years old.

I ordered mine online, should be hear any day now.

I wish this was coming out in the States. I would love to get my hands on this. It's a shame that it's not coming out here.

You can order from amazon.co.uk. When you order from overseas they remove the VAT charge so you'd get it cheaper than us here in the UK. Only the shipping to pay, not sure what that would cost. Worth a look though if you really want a copy.

I just purchased a copy for myself at a little over $20. Not a bad deal at all.

Thanks for clarifying. I just wondered since in both its versions it's the only Mac compilation to feature any stuff from the BW era.

Does it have more in its sleevenotes than the 2CD version? I seem to recall it had a signature from John as well as the other four who had theirs featured in the 2CD but wasn't sure if there were others.

BTW should be HERE any day now. Sorry, you can tell I'm bracing to become a literacy teacher.

Question

I see the Old Grey Whistle Test box has FM's GYOW on it, anyone know if this was this a lip synch or live performance?

John

I think more often than not when there's an OGWT collection it's just the original studio recording of a song done on the show.
