Boy is there a TON of tweaking to Christine's voice on Game of Pretend.

It sounds unnatural in spots.

The most egregious: about 3:05 "Coz I can see this end" -- the word "end" is completely auto tuned to where it sounds like she suddenly got body snatched by Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Not really. I loved it when I first heard it just because it was so great to hear John so upfront in the mix.

However, I don't think it's as amazing as LDFF (that chorus has such a lift!), OWTS (so beautiful ... the dramz!), or SATC (Holiday Road/Trouble mode!).

IMW is definitely the weirdest and most avant-garde song on the album which makes it impressive that it's the first single--and it is the best of the first three "new" teaser tracks (not counting SATC). And I still prefer IMW to "Love Is Here to Stay"--lovely tho it is!--which was done better as RAB and "Gone Too Far."

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

in a word - no.

i think people who liked it at first still put it high on their lists and people who disliked it still put it way down (or way last in my case).

I seem to disagree. I see so many ranking it as a favorite on the album. Very few praised the song when it came out. The best was meh.
But now I don't see as many putting it at the bottom of their list. For you maybe it has not changed but the consensus here is quite amazing.

I loved it from the start.

I sneak in there maybe once every 3 years. That's when I'm bored. REALLY BORED.
