I mean, I'm sure you're right as to why SS was not performed this time, but you know a curfew isn't beyond reason, even for raucous Atlantic City. Michele |

Regarding John and Mick's scissors, I've seen John cut Mick and then Mick cut John back and then John grabs his groin in pain in response. They have their whole little pantomine going on. Thanks for the great review. Michele |

Silver Springs was cut because Stevie isn't well. Supposedly she's having problems with her feet and back.

Hi all! I was at AC last night as well, and was disappointed by no Silver Springs, like the rest of you. I was wondering, given the presence of the so-called "frankenboks", if Stevie wasn't having some sort of physical trouble. Though she sounded fantastic, even better than when I saw them at the Garden in March, she was not as animated. But I also wonder if it might not have to do with Lindsey being injured as well. Did anyone else notice that he would occasionally shake his hand as if trying to getsome relief from pain? This was most noticible just before Big Love. I thought I heard someone near me in the crowd say he had injured his hand earlier in the tour. It didn't seem to effect his playing, but some of the songs did run a little longer with some extra vamping and pregnant pauses. If I'm not mistaken, the whole show actually ran about 15 minutes longer last night, even without Silver Springs, that it normally does. Just an observation from where I sat in sec. 102.

There will be audio popping up.
I thought Stevie was amazing tonight, really on, so it surprises me to hear SS was cut for that reason. It did seem like other songs were longer than usual -- guess the audio will prove that one way or the other -- elongated drum solo, extra intro for Never Going Back Again. I thought they didn't play it because there was a mass exodus after Don't Stop, including about a third of the crowd at the front. Had a lot of fun at the show with my new friend Jenna and my new fiance Mark. If you leave off the part about the guy behind her spilling wine on her Gold Dust Woman shirt, it couldn't have been much more fun!

I'm really lovign all of the recent Gypsys. She's singing it so much better and I like the "And you say hey baby." the best improvment over tyhe begining of the tour is how she moves so much during the guiar solo like she's actually enjoying her freaking self and not standing still behind john if shes not actually singing.

As a side note, someone at the casino I talked to noticed that Stevie seemed to be doing a lot of leg stretches between songs, so maybe her legs/feet were hurting, not sure, but did not affect her vocal performance at all from what I could tell. The Stand Back twirls were still done well at the typical speed we have seen as the average speed during this tour. LOL, I wonder how one can measure a Stevie twirl speed. LOL ... we would need a Stevie Twirl-O-Meter. LOL. Maybe Stevie can rest up before the next show if they stay in Atlantic City and get a massage or nice spa treatment. I got a massage at Caesars and was in heaven. The spa there is so very zen. Looking forward to any audio that pops up. Stevie did look radiant that night, hard to really capture all of that on a youtube video, but damn, when she was on the big video screens in the arena, she looked good. Steve did a good job during Dreams, Gypsy, and Rhiannon this time around where in DC, I got the feeling it was kind of phoned in, but damn, these songs were done really well that night. edit: oh, as a side note, after my massage, my husband and I were still sitting around the main spa lobby and some guy on the phone is talking loudly and pacing around like someone important. After a while, got the strong impression he was some sort of agent for Gene Simmons. (would have been much cooler if it was Stevie's agent or something like that, but still kind of cool anyway).
