There is indeed a very good chance Lindsey will still win this.
Thankfully, one of my fave Lindsey songs is still in the running, and hopefully it will make it to the top.

THIS song actually exemplifies the "spirit of 'Tusk'" that we so often discuss and debate, because it's boisterous and bold and daring and full of life.
"Ballsy" is a good word, in fact.

And that, to me, is Lindsey's crowning achievement in regards to 'Tusk,' and THAT is the spirit that we should be supporting.
"Save Me A Place" does not represent that spirit to me.

I just don't think it is beautiful, that's the exact reason I don't like it. I think it sounds mostly like a droning, atonal dirge. It's almost kinda pretty in a couple places, but then, no, still atonal. And, it's slow, to boot...I don't hate it, like, say, I hate people who poach cheetahs, or corned beef and cabbage...it's just my least favorite on Tusk.
I love the ledge, it's fast, layered, fast, upbeat, fast, and there's weird harmonies.

Amber, I guess I was just surprised by the apparent hatred towards SMAP, (and Sara too actually). It seems so inoffensive to me.

Yeah, it is fairly inoffensive...in the way I described. Strangely, I've hardly been a huge fan of Sara for the same reasons...although i do like sara better, and i'm not saying sara SOUNDS LIKE smap...but uh, whatever.
And yeah, they just busted a big, big Corned Beef & Cabbage poaching ring here...CB&C runs wild in our forests, you know.... It's a bigger problem around St. Patrick's day, of course, but still...

Indeed it might be more daring....It took me quite awhile to like Jazz at all...and of course i still prefer jazz funk, accent on the funk, but yeah, I think you're on to something....

Mmmm, I know a lot of people here will think I'm sacrilegious but I think Sisters Of The Moon is Stevie most contrived and least inspired moment on Tusk. Sure it's a show-stopper live but on the record... I don't know, it definitely feels like she said to herself "I must write another rockin' mysterious woman-type song in the mould of Rhiannon". The single version is cool though, I like the way it just cuts out!

Ooooooooo, no! "Sisters of the Moon" is so inspired and so, so creeped out!!

This is way more inspired than "Rhiannon" ever was- at least "Sisters.." is based on Stevie's reality- whereas "Rhiannon" is just some cheesy allegory.

Every time I hear that song I get chills. It's the ultimate "rock-n-roll woman on tour" song. So much imagery!!
