each song twice?
i'm reading Michele's description of the Soundstage taping (http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showth...286#post855286) - that was great read, i had no clue they performed each song twice for that recording. was somebody at Bass Hall taping? did they do each song twice there too? LiB?
is that some kind of standard process so they can always have one of the two versions to pick, or was that specific to LB's Soundstage? do you think they'll do it that way again on friday? |

Filmed Performances
I read at the time of the Soundstage performance that some artists, like Tom Petty, will perform a lot of songs (just once) then pick the best for the DVD. I think Lindsey likes to have more control over the songs and the sequence (did someone call him a control freak?). I don't think he cared for the sequence and some of his performances on the PBS Centerstage in 1992 (is it just me, or does it sound like he messed up Go Insane on that taping). For The Dance performance, FM performed a second, unplanned, day because they weren't satisfied with Stevie's performance of Silver Springs. I am glad they did because I still get shivers up my spine when I hear Stevie scream at Lindsey during that performance (14 years later).

Friday's Taping
I think he will perform each song just once because, as someone else speculated on this board, that this is an audition for a new record label.
