Default George Hawkins, Jr. ill

For those who don't know, George played bass for Mick's The Visitor and The Zoo's I'm Not Me albums. He also played on both of Christine's solo albums.

OMG
So sorry to hear this. Last night I was watching old videos of the Zoo on youtube and he was interviewed on American Bandstand with Mick.
Also Todd Sharp's wife had leukemia but recovered. She lost her great job and insurance during the treatment too. Thankfully they made it out ok.
George is amazing. Such a great bass player!!!!!

I don't want to get political, but I'm so relieved we have a National Health Service and I don't have to worry about whether I have or don't have the right insurance cover. Hooray for the British NHS.

I didn't want to get political either but he spoke about how they were able to buy a policy with the ACA and maintain health insurance.
Here is his story

P.S.
I'm still bitter he did not get the call to join the Mac in 1987

Interesting...thanks for posting the link.
You guys have got to fix your Affordable Care act or too many of you are going to be f***ed.

With you on '87. In fact, its cool to imagine a FM band where he joined and Lindsey eventually also rejoined.
