Arrow My thoughts...

Actually, I prefer the Wall of Sound version of Thrown Down because of it's very 80's feel. Is that the one you are talking about?

Holiday Road is from National Lampoon's Vacation and so is Dancin Across the USA. Those two songs got me into Lindsey back in March 2001, so they hold a special place in my heart. The movie came out in 1983 and is HILARIOUS.

Cool! It all becomes clear to me now...! thanks Christy!! Yes, I could definitely hear Holiday Road and Dancin Across The USA on a National Lampoons... Soundtrack!! I'll have to dig it out...

And yeah, I'd say that is the version of Thrown Down that you're talking about!! It definitely has that 80's thing going on... I think it just came as a bit of a shock to me because I LOVE the SYW version so much... It seems like sacrelige to me to change it at all!! What was the story behind this version anyway? Was it actually played on radio? Who did the remix? Who are the extra voices!!??

The extra voices are more than likely Stevie's backup girls, but I have NO idea, I'm just guessing. The only songs I've heard in the Dallas/Fort Worth area are Peacekeeper (solo and SYW versions) and SYW (album version). I think some people on the boards heard Thrown Down, but if I'm not mistaken, it was the album version. I've not heard if that WOS version was on the radio. Not sure who did the remix, other people are better with those type of details than I am. LOL

Hey Brian,

I'm glad they came through ok. I had the pc set up to send more, but I got disconnected while I was out. It looks like you got most of it from the links Christy posted though . Let me know if I can ever help you out with something specific.

I couldn't have written that any better myself!

I'm also one of the seemingly few to love "Not That Funny" but then my musical taste can be a bit off the wall at times anyway...
But I have to disagree there!!!

There are some good website links here (see post by Wondergirl) so I thought I would bump this.

Doesn't 2004 seem like yesterday?

Welcome to the board Brian! I live in Ireland so if you want a few discs from my list (see the link in my sig) the postage isn't dear!

Enjoy your time on the Ledge

Betsy, I totally thought this was a newbie. LOL!!

Anyway, I hope Brian is still out there and loving Lindsey. Are you, Brian?

Some of those links probably don't work anymore.

Oh I'm still here folks and yes, still loving Lindsey!! Unfortunately I didn't get to see him play live last year... Next time! I'm a lurker on here these days, I really enjoy reading everything but I just never get the time to contribute - college is finally coming to an end and I'm setting up my own architecture business here in Galway, Ireland so time is a commodity i'm pretty short on! Just looking back, it;s fantastic the welcome that I received from everyone on this thread and all the effort you went to to get me the rarities i was looking for... thanks again!! Hopefully we'll have some more Lindsey solo stuff to look forward to in the not too distant future!!

B
