I swear someone says "He's selling pot" at the begining of Tusk. I'll have to SYW again now.

Lightbulb Running water...

YES!!!!! You are hearing the sound of like..water being poured out...into a glass or something...he uses the SAME effect in Play in the Rain on Go Insane.

I REALLY need to listen to SYW on my headphones more often....I usually crank the sucker up when I'm home alone, I've listened on headphones....maybe 1-2 times. COOL, I love freaky stuff like dogs or talking or whatever!!!

Everyone should know by now that Lindsey does the "love grunts" from Big Love during EFO, RIGHT?!?! YA DO NOW!!

Love grunts?!?!?! Please tell me where!! It's like, my favorite song and I've listened to it a zillion times and I cannot believe my little ears have not picked up on it yet.

Oh, and I thought in Tusk, he's saying "how are the tenors, Johnny?" and "REAAAAALLL SAVAGE LIKE!" lol

One thing that always bothers me when I listen to Say You Will with headphones is how choppy "Goodbye Baby" sounds. It sounds as if they literally pieced in certain words from different tracks. I'm sure this isn't an uncommon technique, but it sounds so obvious on "Goodbye Baby". The point at which it stand out the most to me is when she sings "like a tunnel to the sea". The word 'to' just sounds like it was edited in somehow. And not to mention there is all this off-and-on background hissing.

Yeah they really had to pull out all stops to get Stevie's "whipser" voice. And of course it's worth it - I mean who honestly expected to hear her whisper-sing - not me! But yeah, it's off-putting. The dodgy bootleg of the live recording is even better! But that's got lots of voices singing the chorus.

You're right, It does sound that way. It might be just a lot of reverb but it definately doesn't sound too good listening to it on headphones.

Go--all of the background sounds on Tusk crack me up. It basically sounds like one big party goin' on during the recording--I love the Lindsey love grunts on that too...UH..tusk..lol...and of course, the "HOOGA HAGA HOOOGA!" thing Lindsey does. You can also hear them go "shhhhh!!!" i guess to quiet people down.

She can go her own way... this Buckingham/Nicks reunion Mac style is fanfreakintastic and if you have the means, I highly suggest you catch a show. Incredible!!!! I am completely and totally in love with SYW. And if you listen to the album with headphones on, you almost can't help but hear the little noises...unless of course, I am crazy...lol
Yeah...i will admit it...i am not a syw fan. I tried to like it but i just can't get into it. Too much lindsey for me i guess...but you know me...i gotta have my chrissy to make it good for me. I am not gonna get to go to any of the shows. I can't afford the prices they are asking for tickets.

You know you've listened to SYW too much when....

....everything you play when you're jamming seems to eventually (and quickly) lead into parts from Peacekeeper, Come, Destiny Rules and Say Goodbye!

My favorite little sounds on this album are in Murrow.. when he goes back to playing guitar after the chorus, he sings along with what he's playing. "chicka bow bow.. chicka chicka bow bow.."
But you know, in that song, at the end they're talking.. and I guess its supposed to sound like an old broadcast.. but I WANT TO KNOW what they are SAYING.. sheebus.

In Miranda, he sings along with what he's playing from about 1:46 until 2:15. I'm pretty sure it's him singing along - I think I caught him taking a breath after each phrase. I need to listen to SYW through headphones.. I haven't done that yet. I bet I'll hear all kinds of crazy shtuff then.

lol.. my noodles quite frequently turn into peacekeeper, and for some reason, after i work through my scales and some arpeggios, i start mackin' on the destiny rules part in the middle. (i dont know how to describe it.. it's the mini-solo, i guess.) I love playing mac stuff.. it's so much fun. good answer, seteca. lol

Hi there!! Another newbie here!!

Thought this was cute...... Since the Worcester concert I have been playing FM stuff in the car all the time. Since my daughter and I have a 45 minute ride in the morning we hear quite a bit of the CD. Well.......I know I've listened to SYW too much when my 2 1/2 year old starts singing along!!!! It's too cute!!!

I can't get enough of SYW!! I love it. Stevie and Lindsey have great solo albums but this one is great! Their voices belong together!
