Default Peter Green writing av producing song in 1976?

(The thread name should be: "Peter Green writing AND producing song in 1976?" - couldn't find a way to edit it...)

Anybody seen the "Peter Green and Friends" page on facebook? It's been there since the band started, but naturally it's been pretty quiet the last years. Anyway, fans post now and then.

On March 21 this year a member of an obscure 70s band called Snaps posted a link to a 1976 recording by his band. The song is called "Suffocation" and was supposedly written and produced by Peter Green. It's based on rock riffs and typical for that period. The song doesn't sound much like anything else in Peter's catalogue... this closest thing perhaps being "Seven Stars" or some of the rock stuff on "White Sky" (but that's still very far from it).

I haven't succeeded in getting more information.

Here's the link... What do you folks think? Could Peter've been involved? Could he have written this??? Was he well enough?? When did the first demoes with Peter Vernon-Kell start - 1977??
DISCUSS!!!!

There is another Peter Green who surfaced around the mid '70s. An American, also a blues guitarist, but more toward a "smooth jazz" type sound. iTunes has a few of his albums mixed in with "our" Peter Green listed. Possibly it could be the "other" Peter Green.

Yes, that's possible, chiliD.
This Snaps band is British though. And the post is by their voclist. Could he be mixing those two Peters...?
And let us not forget that there have been fake Peter Greens before, for example that "Egg & Potato guy" in the early 90s...

I hear a mix of Deep Purples "Strange Kind Of Woman" and FREE's "Wishing Well".
No clues to Peter Green

Sorry if I digress, but I think the picture on that t-shirt was taken in a tv-studio in Denmark (may the 4th 1968 according to Hjort).

Yes, there are several photos from that TV session. Speaking of t-shirts, I also thought Peter had a cool t-shirt on that session. Sort of typical for that time.

Yes, but could you tell me what that picture on the t-shirt is, because I have never been able to see it clearly on the photoes. Is it time typical in the mystico-transcendental-"Age of Aquarius"-sense?

I'm afraid I've never seen a close-up of the entire design ... always a guitar strap covering part of it. But it's that brownish, circular artwork on a white t-shirt. I haven't found it anywhere else on the internet, and I can imagine it must be hard with so few "leads"...
