Jennifer Hudson - new single, album

Jennifer Hudson's debut album is due this September. The first single, Spotlight, will be released to radio in June.

If there are any Hudson fans, I send you Spotlight. I was hoping for an immediate knock-out, but lately nothing has grabbed me right away.

"Spotlight" was written by Ne-Yo, who co-produced along with Stargate. Additional contributors on the album include Timbaland, Robin Thicke, the Underdogs, Diane Warren and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, among others.

(The Underdogs did production work on the Dreamgirls soundtrack.)

I am. . I was really impressed by her in Dreamgirls (she looks to me also a very good actress) and some of her live performances are outstanding. I was waiting to know about her album. The fact that she didn't rush and took her time is a good news.
