Mention & photo of Peter in San Francisco Chronicle

There was an article about the upcoming San Francisco Blues Festival in today's San Francisco Chronicle newspaper:

The article writer, Aidin Vaziri, is very good and always quite humorous - don't take anything he writes too seriously

You can link from the article to an accompanying photo of Peter. It's a very similar photo (but not identical) to the cover of The Robert Johnson Songbook, with Peter and his National guitar.

Peter Green will also appear here in Norway at Notodden Blues Festival tomorrow, 5. August! The band is called The British Blues Masters, and includes Long John Baldry, Kim Simmonds, Dick Heckstall Smith, Tom McGuinnes and others.

Unfortunately I will not be able to go and see them

It is written in Norwegian, I'm afraid. But it tells the members of the band, and also that Peter and Splinter Group visited the festival in 1996. (That is the Nowegian blues festival mentioned in the cover of the first Splinter Group album, where the audience cried when they played the Stumble ).

I will post more news after the show, such as reviews and pictures, if I can find any!!

I'm sorry, the Festival starts at the 5. August, but The British Blues Masters are set to play two dates - the 6. and 7. of August. I wonder if Peter will play both shows.

I guess many of you have heard the Splinter Group gig from 1996, which also includes a funny interview with Peter. It is a good gig, but Peter has just grown so much since then!!
