Default If You Were My Love (Mirage outtake)

Just came across this on YouTube. If you haven't heard it, I suggest checking it out. Beautiful song. Too bad there wasn't room on Mirage for it. My first thought after listening to this song is: "why didn't they use this for one of Stevie's songs on Tango In The Night?" All three of her songs on Tango are subpar.

The 24KG version is quite lovely as well..I'll never know who or what informed the choice of Stevie's Tango songs ..Seven Wonders is decent but she didn't write it.There is no real alibi rehab or not for someone of her stature to drop the ball so badly on a major multi-platinum release.I just hope that she steps up one more time. so Tango is not her final word with the five.

This is one of my favourites, I don't like the 24KG version but I love the Fleetwood Mac arrangement. If only albums could have been longer in those days! We could have had Smile at You as well.

I agree, Dawn The 24k version drones on and on. I want to hang myself after listening to it.

The FMac version that I've heard seems a lot smoother. There seems to be so much passion in the Mirage outtake and in the 24k version feels like going thru the motions. Not to mention the backing vocals from FM are so much better.
