Dreams remix by Psychemagik
This is probably old news for most of you, but I just heard this remixed/edit of Dreams on KCRW -- for the first time while driving in LA in early November.
I usually don't like remixes of old classic rock songs, but this one really surprised me. I've always felt that in the hands of the right producer, Stevie Nicks could do some really interesting things with her voice -- not unlike what Kate Bush did on Hounds of Love. This remix, which is really more of a re-edit, kind of does the job. It's often startling and pretty beautiful from start to finish. The DJ's that did this - Pyschemagik - are offering a free download this week. Thought I would pass it along. (I discovered it on their Facebook page): Enjoy http://psychemagik.bandcamp.com |

I really like it. It really showcases some of the awesome notes she hits in the song. You can truly get lost in this.

Although I like it, I'm not big on older songs being remixed, either.

I've also been wondering what Stand Back would sound like if Lindsey re-arranged it in the same way he does Big Love now. Not a fan of Stand Back at Fleetwood Mac shows, but with a Big Love acoustic treatment, it could be pretty great.
