If her ego hasn't been "settled " yet it ain't never gonna be .I'm afraid that ship had sailed many ,many years ago.

I think the thought behind her letter was nice, but she always has to bring it around herself. I am still bewildered as to why she never said a thing when Keith Olsen passed away. Not famous enough?

EXACTLY. Not an opportunity for her.

I cringed at the wording as well but at least she's trying. I think in her mind it was a big compliment...

Many/most celebrities who actually tweet alot have assistants do it. There are actually classes in how a celebrity should tweet....not too much....and how often it should happen.
I don't believe Stevie personally wrote this statement. I say this not because I am defending her from arrogance but it's just odd and even with her arrogance, it still does not sound like her. I realize I am probably in the minority but she is too consumed with other things than to put out a statement. Didn't she take pride in saying she does not tweet, etc.
That ending is just too much for me and is coming from someone really immature. It sounds like its coming from someone getting legs in the celebrity statement business.

She most definitely did write this statement. Sounds just like her. It’s totally her. Her immaturity got Lindsey fired don’t forget.

And no offense to RBG. It’s not as if my friends and I have not spoken about her a lot in the last three months and hoped and prayed that she could just hold on a little longer. We have. She is known and has been on everyone’s tongue lately. But if someone tiptoed into my room and said that Ruth died I would still go, “Wait, what? Who??”

First I would think they were referring to a friend of my mother’s named Ruth and my next guess would be Ruth Wilson. I really don’t refer to the Notorious RBG as Ruth.

But, if they shook me awake and said Stevie died, Stevie would be glad to know that the very first Stevie I would think of would be her. The next Stevie would be Stevie Wonder.
I def. think it was Karen who tiptoed into her room.

Wait, what?? I thought Stevie was already dead to you? How could she die twice?

The letter Stevie typed was a perfect tribute until she added in that 22 men crap. It was such an eye rolling moment of embarrassment for me.

There’s no doubt in my mind that she felt something. Still, much of this open letter sounds engineered to fit the zeitgeist. Stevie mentions her two-time RRHOF win in connection with RBG’s pioneering work for women’s rights. Her own speech at the RRHOF, however, was decidedly post-feminist. In her view, finding the right men were an essential part of her climb to solo stardom. And the last thing she said in that speech is how she has trouble listening to “another girl”....

“Landslide” was written for RBG and her death. Stevie realizes this now.

Right. She said she doesn't listen to anything that anyone tells her to do, especially when it's a girl
.

That was redacted from the HBO program, but I was at Barclays and heard it.

She spoke in Donald-style before he and Chris Christie spoke that way, dropping SAT vocabulary words to impress when they popped in the mind.

RBG,

As a two-time Rock and Roll of Fame inductee, the first female to be inducted twice, compared to 22 men been inducted twice,

Uh, Congratulations?
I didn't think I could be more grossed out than when she fired Lindsey.
I didn't think I could be more cringed out than when she rambled on like an incoherent, UNGRACIOUS loon during the Rock Hall speech.
I didn't think I could be more creeped out than when she said she doesn't "agree with anything anyone says, especially when it's a girl."
I stand corrected. Self-promotion on the coattails of the death of feminist icon and legend RBG is a new low. Jeebus. Yuck.

I will admit that she accomplished a lot, with minimal talent.

Makes you wonder how she'd have gone if the world hadn't wanted to sleep with her...
