Dirty Laundry is one of the worst songs I've ever heard and it's quite hysterical to listen to since Dickhead Henley is the king of airing his dirty laundry in the media. He's a real prince.

I LOVED that song for the line:

Quote:
We got the bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who
Comes on at five
She can tell you ’bout the plane crash with a gleam
In her eye
But, Boys of Summer is my fav. solo of his.

And - he is the king of airing his DL

I never cared for his voice, to be honest. And I have no respect for a man who gives an interview to a national publication and discusses the aborted child of his former lover for all to read about. Stevie *must* have a heart of gold because I would have sliced off his frank and beans. He's classless and tasteless, but that's his stock in trade from what I gather.

I don't think he got that impression from Lindsey or John
Solo artist or with Fleetwood Mac, I don't care. I just want Stevie to put out an album already. SYW and TISL have rocked my world and I know whatever she does nevext will be amazing.

Do not even get me started on "Hole in the World" I mean they are one of the greatest and most creative groups EVER and THAT tripe is all they come up with

OMFG!

The first time I heard Hole In the World, I laughed for two days straight, I swear. What a whiney, putrid, stinky little piece of crap that song is.

There's a hole in the world tonight...
Don't let there be a hole in the world tomorrow

Do me a favor and get out the gun!

I still love the Eagles music like Tequila Sunrise or Peaceful Easy Feeling. I've heard Glenn Frey's solo stuff and egads, it sucks. I do like Don Henley solo though. I like The Last Worthless Evening and I think Dirty Laundry is funny and really pretty clever. I guess he makes up for in talent what he lacks in class at times. It's too bad. Stevie and he make an awesome duet and what a hot looking couple!

I can only hope he's wrong. But if the Rumours lineup can re-form after Lindsey told everyone in 1992 that he wasn't planning on ever going back, then it can survive whatever prompted Don Henley to make that comment!

I actually have an appreciation for Don Henley as a solo artist, at least up to a point. Building the Perfect Beast is a terrific album, IMHO. And even some of his post-BTPB songs like "End of the Innocence" and "Heart of the Matter" just blow me away. For someone who can be a prick in "real life" his songs have a lot of emotional resonance. Maybe that side of him is one that the public doesn't see, and one which makes Stevie forgive and forget.

He's nothing compared to Lindsey, though, of course. lol

It's a good song, but then Bruce Hornsby is a great songwriter.

I always enjoyed DH's music, but I have to agree with those of you who think he's a jerk. Stevie must have been either high or really horny to get involved with him.
He has said recently that if Eagles were to call him up, he'd drop Stevie's tour to go with them - such a charmer!

Well I'm glad he's dropping off mid-way. I was NOT looking forward to sitting through a Don Henley set just to get to the good stuff!!

Btw, my parents are HUGE and I mean HUUUUUUUUUGE Eagles fans so when I was like in 6th grade (yikes) I went with them to a Don Henley concert. Let me just say, it was forgettable--could be because I was 11 and bored, but looking back on it now, I think it was more because he sucks. Anyway, even at that time I was only interested in going to see another band playing on his bill--Edie Brickell and The New Bohemians.

I was a huge Henley fan until I read the book "You'll Never Make Love In This Town Again" (written by some LA prostitutes), which features one of the writer's experiences with DH... well, there were 3 of them, actually.... euwww...
