Default Video tributes

Hi everyone,
I decided to open this thread since I'd like to share with you my video tributes for Chris.
A month ago I started with "Ricky" and some minutes ago I finally finished a new video of "Isn't it midnight". On Youtube my channel's name is "orsinigrafica", so the only way to find it is through this thread and because I use the same avatar.
They're just simple gifts I made for her. I'll post it here, starting from the new one. Hope you'll like it!

"Isn't it midnight" - Tribute n.2

Thanks for sharing.Your record player reminds me of my old AM/FM cassette recorder
that my dad gave to me for my birthday 35 years ago.It still works.

Hi MacFan, you're welcome!
Well, I wasn't so lucky with my record player, in fact I was just able to make this video, then while I was listening to "Ricky" something happened and I couldn't hear the sounds anymore. I could hear something, but it was very low. My dad tried to repair it some days ago, but there are some old components hard to find today, so unfortunately he should replace various parts in order to fix the damage. He says it's not worth it, but it's still a pity. I love vintage things.
My mum says that the last time she used it was in the 70s and that after so many years, it's obvious that these devices will break.
I'm always VERY lucky, I guess ...
Anyway, as soon as possible I'll buy this: http://www.ebay.it/itm/270976497888?...84.m1423.l2649
It's a record player that records mp3 files directly on usb pen drives or SD/MMC cards from vinyls (33-45-78), cassettes and aux-in. It's not very charming as the ancient ones, but I guess it's useful. It has also many other features, but I'm an old fashioned lady and all this technology bores me (in fact I still have a Commodore Amiga 1200 in my house and soon I'll buy also a C64).

Since I'm a electronics geek.I love old electronic gear.My basement and garage is full of old gear.I repair electronic gear for almost the same time Rumours came out.I'm done it in the trade for years. Now people get electronics cheaper new from Walmart and the box stores here in the states. The repair biz is dead now.Forget Radio Shack. All they want to do is sell you a cell phone package.

This is a good forum that I hang out on.

http://www.antiqueradios.com/forums/...3c43b2ea5b23df

They help me alot if I get stumped on a repair. They know where there are sources for parts for old gear that we collect.I do have those Amiga's and Commodore computers somewhere here.I think it was a Commodore VIC 20 keyboard that almiost whacked me in the head the other night in the basement.I got to check those usb port turntables out myself.I got some Stevie/FM radio shows That I supposted to digitalize for some friends awhile ago.

Ok sorry about drifting off topic.Keep making those vids for us.

Hi Mac,
sorry for my late answer, but in these days I'm studying for the theory test for my driving license (I'll have it in the morning of July 13th) and so I'm not often connected. Anyway, your post was really interesting and you are lucky to be an electronic geek, just like my dad Your basement and garage could be like a fairground for me
I was registered on a similar forum 'cos I wanted to study electronic, but then I didn't had the time to follow it, mostly because I became engaged and left my city..and life became very hard for me and my gf, but this is another story.
My dad had a Vic 20 and also a PET back in the late 70s-early 80s: very fascinating computers. My mum sais that when she was pregnant with me she always played with Pac Man on the C64...maybe that's why I love old computers these days. I'm glad I was lucky enough to have an Amiga 2000 from 1987 to 2009, now I have this wonderful A1200 that I bought in 2010 from Germany and I have expanded it, even if I don't have so much time to use it. However it's here, in front of me, near the tv and sometimes I play with it... and pay attention when you handle with Commodore computers, since some of them have a heavy metal case that, well... it's not really advisable whacking your the head with it
