Default Mt Plesant tickets no longer on sale

The tickets for Mt Pleasant were selling incredibly slowly. They no longer are on sale to the public. The casino has now changed policy all "loyalty" members can attend for free. Last ditch effort to get people to show. Hoping my seat location will still be honored.

I happened upon the show by chance (I've been a little out of the loop and trying to plan a move to IL and sad at no whole Mac album) and only caught the concert through a Facebook event listing. I couldn't figure out if they had sold tickets or not because it's been showing no tickets for at least the last week.

Anyway, I went over to Soaring Eagle last night to get their players club card and the free tickets. They say "Hill GA" and also have the original $25 price on them so I'm thinking the free tickets are only for the lawn area. I'm not sure actually and kind of concerned because I'm disabled and going with my elderly mom so I'm thinking I'm going to have to call anyway to clarify if it's all GA or just the lawn, and if there's any way my mom and I can get seats.

Have you been to the venue before? Read some really awful reviews of the place so I'm not sure what to expect. My mom and I had talked for years about going over for a show but it never did happen which is part of why I'm bringing her along. More than anything though, I'm nervous about the weather since I'm seeing thunderstorm warnings. I'd assume the show would have to be rescheduled if there's lightning. I know the tickets say rain or shine but the venue also isn't covered either, right? So if it's even raining good luck getting people to show. I'm so sorry you paid for a seat and all (Honestly I would have preferred to!) hope they will honor it. Haven't been on the forum in quite some time but any other Ledgies going? A small meet up would be cool.

Also, I don't know how many of their rewards club members will be going or not but tickets did have to be picked up in advance so it's not just a show up with your loyalty card and get in kind of thing. Really I'm assuming your seat will still be honored. I'll try to remember to post an update after I call them as well. Hope everything ends up working out all around and the rain stays away!

No covered seating. It's literally a parking lot with a stage. The hill isn't massive like other outdoor venues. If you went to the casino to pick up tickets and didn't see the venue that tells you something.

Thanks. And yeah, good point. I saw the lot for the venue and was going to drive in and take a look but there were a bunch of cars and maybe something going on so I didn't. That sucks. I guess I can't complain about free tickets to see two of my all time favorite artists though. Just hoping the weather cooperates.

Looks ok for avoiding rain. Crowd still sparse....still early.

Signed album in hand.

That's too bad about the attendance. How were the Wallflowers, though? Nobody really says much about them but I'm curious as to how their performances are.

the Wallflowers are really good - i really enjoyed their show all 3 times i've seen them. you will probably know most of their songs, too, if you were around in the 90s.

actually most of their shows i've seen are very full, and the audiences are hugely enthusiastic - which i guess is easy to be with their high energy set! the 2 shows that were added last, LA and NYC are well on their way to being sold out.

i really hope they add another leg now that they can see how well it's been going, and also do a short UK tour.

Isn't she in England now with her good friend Tom Petty? Pity.

Wallflowers are very tight. Only 6 or so songs.

I'd bet the venue eventually got to 1/3 full. No changed to set list. LB appeared to battling a bug. Lot of coughing.

Solid show all around though.

interesting, at least this is the last show of this leg and they have about a week before they do FM and west coast leg, if he's battling something.

a friend reported in our facebook group that "when I passed through here last Saturday about the free ticket offer or even just purchasing regular tickets and was told they were totally sold out, however I would say the place was only 3/4 full if that." she said that unlike Toronto, where the crowd was great and into the show, the crowd at this show sucked, other than the front row center section that was allowed up to the rail. (interesting also that Chicago, Toronto and this show all had a rail in front of the stage, which was not the case with the previous shows.)
