Default Near crash of Qantas flight

I just heard about this 10 minutes ago and perhaps someone could post the full story, but a Qantas flight from London to Austraila had apparently just left from a stopover in Hong Kong and while at 29,000 feet over the South China sea had a large hole punched un the underside of the 747-400 and the plane decended rapidly to 10,000 feet. However pilots were able to make an emergency landing in Manila. 346 people were aboutd the plane, and apparently no one was seriously injured, thank god.

YES!!!

An inspection revealed a hole in the Boeing 747-400's fuselage, and initial reports indicated that a section of the fuselage had separated in the area of the forward cargo compartment, the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) said in a written statement.

"There was an almighty crack," one passenger said. "We dropped a bit in the air, but other than that it was fine."

I hope it is not again a reported problem about the door in the cargo section, the 747s used to have an issue with the lock and doors opened on flight, breaking part of the fuselage!!! There was a terrible accident when the hole was so large that 3 or 4 lines of seats were pulled out of the plane, passengers died.!!

I'm the same I'll always fly qantas if they have a flight path where I'm going. I'm a little worried about their record lately though but they've now had a few "incidents" but still have never had an "accident". I'm not concerned about their pilots though, they still seem to be the best in the world.
