For The Archives: Old Jeremy Letter
from GIG magazine, May 1977
A friend of mine recently returned from your country with a copy of the October 1976 issue of GIG, which I found extremely informative of the latest stateside musical scene. I read the article "Fleetwood Mac -- The Continuing Saga" by Dave Schulps in which he was incorrectly informed that I had "moved away" from the Children of God, & was now living in Europe. This is not true. I have been playing music & living with the Children of God for six years now, & I do not intend to leave them. During the past two years I have been here in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, playing with their show group called Os Meninos de Deus (Portuguese for The Children of God). I would greatly appreciate it if you could print this letter to set the record straight. Yours sincerely, In Jesus' name Jeremy Spencer Rio De Janeiro, Brazil

Thanks for posting Any little nuggets about Jeremy from this period are very welcome. I have heard that he made recordings in Brazil around that time - maybe with this band?
