Default Lindsey music out this fall

Ok, so it's not quite Lindsey music. But it's the next best thing while we wait for the new Fleetwood Mac record. Tom Petty's new record is out Oct. 8, and Lindsey does vocals on at least one song, The Man who Loves Women. Tom has made some interesting comments about this album, saying it celebrates our current state of mediocrity. I haven't heard it yet, but I know I agree with the sentiment. Can't wait to get it.

Hey we'll take what we can get at this point.
I, for one, have been waiting impatiently for this to
come out. I really enjoyed the last pairing of these two
together, I hope it will be more then just the one song
though. Interesting song title here (smirk)
I've always been a Petty fan, love the man's work.
I wonder if Lindsey will play on this one, last one I don't
believe that he did, it was just vocals.
Well we'll see.
Thanks for the info CarneVaca.

Glad to hear it. I'm looking forward to Tom's new album based on how he's been describing it and certainly, Lindsey's presence only adds to my anticipation. Thanks for the note.

This is what I read:

"Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham sings on 'The Man Who Loves Women'..."

This was the only mention. We can only hope for more.

Wow,

I knew nothing about this! Im glad I know NOW!

Walls and Asshole are two wonderful Tom&Lindsey songs. Even though Lindsey just lends vocals, his touch adds so much to a Tom song. They are really my two fav Tom Petty songs. Tom just seemed made for S&L , he brought out more in their vocals than anyone else really.

Im very looking forward to this! Thanks for letting us know!!

Petty's new album is called The Last DJ. Originally, it was called The Golden Circle, I believe. I recently saw him in concert with Jackson Browne and he played a few tracks from the new album, they all sounded good. LB's contribution is on a song called the man who loved woman. I think he only lends vocals-no guitar.Looking forward to the new album.
