Default Stevie Nicks Fleetwood Mac - Gypsy (The Writing Process) Full

Here you go, if you have time. It's about an hour and a half long. For those of you that would like to dissect this and comment.

Thank you for this. I love it. I never heard the first couple of Gypsies. You can see her kind of going back and forth over whether it should be fast or slow. When we get to her and Lindsey. Wow!! You see the magic of what the two of them could be. That is my favorite version of Gypsy. I wish that demo recording would have been on the Mirage Deluxe version. I can't understand why it wasn't. He slows it down and gives it a 50's/60's feel to their singing.

Yes. I thought it was an interesting listen. I commend the YouTuber that actually strung it all together. Plus the various photos are rather alluring as well.

For someone like HomerMcVie(David), listening to it would be like Chinese water torture. If there was a hell for him, I think it would be listening to this over and over again for eternity.

So interesting. Thanks to the YouTuber for putting it together and thanks for posting it, jwd.

Stevie had a lovely basis, and it always would have been a good song. Lindsey made it a brilliant one.

I love how at 15:30 she asks if anybody likes the song. I want to say, yes, Stevie, we like it. We LOVE it!! (Gypsy is my favorite song EVER.)

Not true. David was a huge fan of hers I think until after Mirage. Ive been a fan for a long time but have changed completely because of her behavior the last few years. She has really rubbed me the wrong way, but that doesn't mean I won't always love a lot of her music. I loved In Your dreams.

I fell out of love around OSOTM. She'd lost it, and became a delusional drug addict. And even though $he finally got clean, pure narcissism took the addiction's place. $he's completely insufferable, now.

But Bella Donna is in my top 20 albums of ALL TIME. So there. Put that in your pipe and $moke it.

Insufferable is the perfect word for what she is now. How she can stand up with this new band and take a bow KNOWING what she did to Lindsey is beyond me. I saw a pic of their bow at the I heart show and it's sickening to me. BTW David Rock a Little was pretty horrendous not that I look back. I tried to overlook her awful vocals that had become a caraciture at the time. That's when she really started to lose it. She got it back during the Dance but the last few years...her personality is awful.

I concur on all points.

I TRULY believe that $he believes all her own stories. Again...DELUSIONAL. SURROUNDED by suckups that tell her that her $h*t doesn't $tink.

Bella Donna= absolute greatness!!!!
Wild Heart= a damned good album, with mostly good songs.
RAL= meh, the wheels were starting to fall off, but I was still a big fan, so I did my best to like it.
OSOTM= TRASH.

What $he's become is horrible. Her own bigge$t fan. And that's a terrible thing to be.

Yeah, yeah I know about David being a fan of Stevie's earlier songs and I'm sure the finished "Gypsy" would probably be one of them. I was referring to the early demos of the song where she is working it out and plunking on the piano. Heck, I think an endless loop of that would be hellish for anyone!

I used to be a lot more tolerant of her piano plinking and plonking, especially back when these demos were new. But I just can't listen to the plinking and plonking anymore. I'd be better off if someone could strip out the plinking and plonking and let me listen to the great voice a cappella.

I want to write plinking and plonking again. There. That'll do nicely.
