Default Buckingham Mcvie 2?

I am loving what I am hearing and am thinking they should shelf any planned solo albums (not talking about NIcks we know where she stands) and make another very soon. They are not getting any younger. I say go back in the studio in the fall and release another duet album before the FM tour. The two of them together balance each other out. Better together. Who's with me????

me. I like Stevie but could do without her drama.
I really couldn't care less about the brand name, it's the personalities playing the music ....each member has a style and I like their styles
....the blend of all the talent takes things to another level. I'm so in on this album....

for me it's a HAPPY FM record, and I want them to be happy. ...helps make me happy.

no. Lindsey should release solo album he has while his stuff is still fresh. he should not sit on it and wait like he did in the past. after the Mac farawell tour, if they are all still healthy and at which point Stevie will be officially done with the FM, the foursome can go back in the studio and make more music together - they are obviously having a great time together! at that point they'll probably be free to call that album however they want - even Fleetwood Mac.

O.G.B. will NEVER let that happen. Seriously.

yes, very much agree with that. no drama and happiness, they deserve this and obviously enjoy it. i've been listening to those songs snippets over the weekend and exactly like you said - they are just warm and make you happy, something we could use at these weird times.

I was away for a few days and really didn't get a chance to listen carefull,y but I now have no doubt this album will be fantastic! It is an FM album with all musicians from the band playing on it. Obviously they are contractually obligated NOT to call it Fleetwood Mac. I am hoping that before the tour they record some more songs and they apparently had a lot of fun doing it. No more drama form you know who, who pe only wants to tour for the cash anymore anyway.

well they are all talking like FM will officially disband after that big farawell tour. cease to exist. they can re-band maybe? unless what somebody said here few days ago is correct, and the 4 members that were on SYW signed some contract where it's not FM unless their 4 names are there.

either way, Christine and Lindsey collaborating obviously makes them happy and it would be nice seeing them make together some more music!

I agree, they seem to be enjoying this immensely, and I'm so happy for them.

Just call it a day with FM(I'm not sure John wants to keep going, anyway), and let's milk Buck/Vie for as long as they feel like it.

Even if it's just theaters. Go out doing what you love, with people you love. I'm SO TOUCHED by the love in the "making of" video.

Yes the one good thing about the BuckVie name is the freedom it gives them the power to proceed with or without Mick and John, as Mick and John see fit. I'm glad this conversation has resulted in this insight. It's beautiful and finally puts me at peace that there will never be another Fleetwood Mac album.

I love Stevie and I am sorry that working with Lindsey is so painful for her.

Re: putting solo albums on hold: I personally would prefer more BuckVie but I like the idea that they pick up BuckVie after the tour even after two solo albums: just keep going!! As for Christine's blues standards album: all I want is a BuckVie reunion for a Lindsey production of Chris singing Mack the Knife. PLEASE GOD!

Last night a video of rehersals for the Dance came on and when Christine mention John was married longer to his current wife than her, he mentioned it was 19 years, and Christine applauded....but that seemed so uncomfortable...amp this kind of tension up 10x between you-know-who and it becomes humorless.

I really think audiences are going to feel the love on this BuckVie tour.
I'm so impressed that at this stage of the game they can still make interesting music, and interesting it is IMO.

What's OGB?

Also they've made it clear in Uncut that this is a one-off project - Lindsey will be returning to work on his seventh solo album and is planning to release a compilation of his solo work by the end of 2017.

I think it's Homer expressing his loving nickname for Stevie...

I believe Buckingham McVie should be their new incarnation until either Lindsey or Christine can no longer make music.

Am I understanding correctly that EP and Buckingham McVie all came out of the same sessions recorded over several years? Also, it seems there were a lot more songs than just the 10 songs they are releasing June 9. Are there other genuine song titles out there that could morph into another album? I'm all for the creativity and 80's Pop sound, and I must admit Buckingham McVie is growing on me; though I am still longing for a 70's rock album from these folks. Co-produced by Lindsey and Dave Stewart. I think it's the only way Stevie would contribute. Give me 'World Turning'...give me 'Fireflies'.

Lindsey's 4 songs were from the EP sessions which took place over a short time I believe with the intention of a Mac album with Stevie.

Christine's songs were, apparently, recorded over the past few years beginning when she re-entered the ring and before the On With the Show tour.
